  1. It's no win for England now, if we go out and batter them it will be " why couldn't have we done that to Russia, Isreal etc." And if we lose, well Mclaren will get ripped to shreds.
  2. In todays match or in general? Today's game. He just won a pen and wanted to take it understandably but was overruled by the manager. Milner took it and scored. He looked a bit annoyed though!
  3. Bulgaria far better so far. Technically piss all over us. Fuck knows what we'd be like without Theo.
  4. CBB to read the thread but for me we get sucked in to playing how the opposition plays and don't play to our strengths like playing quick fast paced stuff like all our players are used to. The manager leaves a lot to be desired as well.
  5. Maybe that good one deserves a bit more. The rest are lucky to get that imo.
  6. A big enough offer though and I think they'd be tempted. He also seems to be a bit of a mercenary type so would be attracted to playing with the likes of Viduka, Anelka... Especially if Mccarthy leaves. Spose it would depend on how we and Blackburn do up till Jan.
  7. Sell Owen, bring in Diouf/Bentley and Anelka.
  8. It'd be nice to have a nutter/flair balance in the team, at the mo it's just nutters.
  9. Don't know about Joaquin, final ball is a bit iffy and seems to play in little cameo's rather than sustain a performance throughout the game. He can carry the ball well though and is very skillful and direct which I like. When he's on form though he's great to watch. Highly doubt we could get him though. For me: Bentley Anelka Van der vaart All 3 can score goals regularly and are creative. Realistic man. Ivan Campo?

Walcott AGAIN in Watford a few days ago, and also saw him again at the cinema about a week ago. He wasn't allowed into saw 4. :giggle:
  12. Genuinely struggling to think of someone in our squad who i'd like as captain.
  13. Urgh too early , too early, don't want to think about this yet.
  14. When was the last time we actually created a goal btw? Our last 3 have been total flukes.
  15. The moment passed me by as like others I thought it was going wide, so I just ended up sitting there open mouthed.
  16. Yeah Dyer was a good deal, i'm on about the fact instead of getting someone in similar, he bought Smith. Who in fairness is a 'decent' player but not the sort who will produce some of the sorts of things a Dyer like player would put in. Blood and guts and that's about it, that doesn't get you 3 points.
  17. We've been patiently waiting to win something for almost 40 years, we've been patiently waiting to win a domestic trophy for more than 50 years and it's getting closer to the 100 year mark since we won a league title, I would think an 80 year wait is quite a while to be able to claim we've been more than patient. So do you expect instant success from Sam then? Owen. Emre. Viduka. Zoggy. The mackems have never in their entire history had a player within two bloody leagues of the class of these players. Man for man every single player (except GK) they have inferior players to NUFC. I really cannot undertstand why people think its OK for us to go out and get dominated by the mackems. Right now we have a squad that shits all over them. It isn't just because its the derby, exact same argument Derby and Reading. Right now. And yet we get sent home tail between legs. WHY? Because Allardyce has more skill and talent in those four players than he's ever had in his entire career and he has no idea how to use it. Sam clseems to have no desire/ability to use the talent of this squad away from home, and it is probably top 8 at best. That being the case, how is he the man to take us forward? What is the point of bringing in better talent in winter/next summer if he's just going to take it out to pride park and tell them to 'hold out lads, there's a point in this if we graft it'. Lets face it, it isn't about instant success. It's about at this instant, Sam has a much much more talented squad than the bottom 8 teams at least, and he is showing little to no sign of being able to use it intelligently. He is making the same mistakes over and over again. I say give him the season, sure. But if by round 35 he is still going to bottom of the ladder and trying to graft out a point then can't we safely say he's out of his depth? Do we really need another 3 years of trying to turn michael owen into alan smith? good post.
