  1. Would rather Milner and if not Barton on the right than Geremi, who should be dropped. Other than that I'd agree.
  2. Hope we play Croatia early. That's a definately a group we should get out of.
  3. Nani, Lampard or Gerrard. I was joking but yeah... Makes you wonder why others are getting people like him. Whereas we're getting Alan Smith and Barton.
  4. Anelka, Diouf, Arshavin, Ben Haim. Would also like Bentley but they may ask for too much.
  5. I think we should buy Kranjcar. He is very good at long shooting
  6. ElDiablo

    Jose Enrique

He also seems to be very weak.
  7. not just the defence,it's the defending and how it is done throughout the 11 I was actually coming in to edit my post about this. We were attempting to defend deep, but it was so unorganised throughout the team players were running untracked in between the two static banks of four and picking up the ball and then being allowed to turn. There's no help from the midfield in picking up loose balls or anything like that. Liverpool every single time picked up the loose ball both in their and our edge of the box, as soon as it dropped there were was Sissoko and Lucas buzzing around picking it up while Butt, Smith and co were watching. V worrying, it always seems to be like that at home games as well, even the games when we're supposedly have played well like against Spurs and West ham, there was always that feeling that one time someone was going to fuck a pass up and then they'd be away. Today we were so disjoninted whenever a player picked up the ball they had to hoof it as noone was in their correct position, probably down to not knowing what they were supposed to do. As i said all very worrying and coupled with the other tactical decisions it's all looking a bit depressing at the mo.
  8. The defence is so unorganised it's unbelievable. There's no leadership, everyone's just playing their own individual game.
  9. No one's forgetting it, but this was a home match: no team should be as comfortable as that at St. James'. this isnt the keegan years. we dont rape and pillage teams anymore. liverpool spend god knows how many millions in the summer, we spend hardly anything in comparison and from looking at that match thread (post kick off) most of the posters expected victory. we cant just beat every team anymore. we are overrated in our own heads. Is simply playing like you want to be on the pitch too much to ask as well? football's changed. it doesnt work like that anymore. its talent over desire (for the most part anyway) No, it's both, we have a fair amount of talent but seem to have zero desire. Won't get anywhere without wanting to win. Liverpool looked like they wanted it so much more today. Ignore the fact they are a better team talent wise, they wanted it more and that is why they did us all over the pitch. You can have as much talent as you want but if the player doesn't want it, there's no use them being on the pitch in the first place.
  10. No: Sack him if he fails to turn things around by end of the season. If he keeps on with these simply fucking woeful decisions then I'll start to want him out, because there's nothing that suggests he will change. It's easy to say give him time but these decisions are awful and if he keeps making them then that warrants a sacking. If he was to start playing players in their right positions and stopped with the mind boggling subs then that would buy him some time in my book. At least look like you're trying to change things and learning.

  12. Agreed, let's not bother with Blackburn. I'm not dreading facing Blackburn though.
  13. Absoloutely pathetic, school boy stuff at times. I was shocked at how shit we were, and that takes some doing, we've played shite before under Sam but that is the worst performance by far for a long time. Unacceptable , dreading the Arsenal game now. :-[
  14. And you live where? Exactly mate, total joke. And if/when they score they'll be ripping the piss and then the rage will come I tell thee. Glory hunting bastards
  15. Will be watching it with 3 liverpool supporting mates, dreading it.
  16. blueyes.gif Dunno why I like them but they've got that underdog thing going for them plus a few quality players that actually makes it fun to watch them. I've always liked them too. I think for me it was from wanting them to beat the Germans so badly in Euro 96, where they gave it such a good go.
  17. I'm having a flutter on Croatia so them, and would also like to see Spain do well for once.
  18. Croatia are 16-1 to win the Euro's. Definately worth a tenner. http://odds.bestbetting.com/football/euro-2008/winner
  19. What actually is it? Just a mini tourno between England Scotland N Ireland and Wales? I'd love to see that happen.
  20. It's not like he let the rest of the team down with an individual mistake Dawson esque though. The team in front of him let him down, he didn't do that much wrong as a I remember, there were certainly worse players out there.
  21. That's one performance from Lescott though, dawsons been shit for ages.
