  1. Totally agree. It's about time we had someone who demands respect and the players have a healthy respect for/fear of. Couldn't give a shite if they like his methods tbqh.
  2. That was one of the first ones that jumped out at me too.
  3. The state of this prick's face at FT in the Huddersfield match. He was absolutely gutted, the cock.

Short would be mental to sell if they go down. They might get lucky in so much as he might be prepared to cut his losses where there is no fucking hope Ashley would. I get the impression that Ashley is much more cut throat in that sense.

They're absolutely f***ed financially unless they get taken over if they go down like. Even the staunchest of their window lickers seem to have finally realised this. Could be an absolute carcrash if they go down. Few saleable assets (and Defoe's value will have dwindled massively) 10 first team squad members due to f*** off on a free/loan end Falling gates No TV money to prop them up Manager on a large salary (hard to pay-off) Defoe allegedly has a clause that he can leave on a free if they go down, they'd struggle to get any value from their squad. There's only really Pickford and Kone with any inherent value thereafter isn't there? that was all I could think of, they'll probably get a few million for Khazri, Boreyney and Ndong but nowhere near what they shelled out. Makes you realise what shite Moyes has bought with his limited funds. Who else will want Darron Gibson ffs?

They're likely to have a Villa-style season if they go down, which would have a huge impact on their finances not coming straight back up. I'd go as far as saying if they're still in the Championship when their parachute payments run out then they could face real difficulty even remaining in that league. Yeah agree with that. I wouldn't want to be in the Championship next season. There'll be 2-3 good/decent teams who don't get out of the play offs as well as a resurgent Villa, Norwich will probably have a new manager and then some teams that finish this season strongly but just miss out on the plays off (I'm thinking Fulham) not to mention that the relegated teams are likely to have had some experience of putting together a succesful promotion campaign more recently than Sunderland (Boro/Hull). If they go down, the best I can see for the Mackems is a play off finish the year after.

  9. Before the Brighton game, I looked at the next three fixtures with real trepidation, saying I'd snap your hand off for 5 points from 9. A draw therefore would be more than acceptable to round this little run of fixtures off nicely. A win the icing on the cake and a defeat not the end of the world.
  10. I've lived on/near the south coast for 11 years and really don't want to see Brighton come up tbqh. Mickey Mouse club, Mickey Mouse fans who's only redeemable feature is Chrissy Hughton.
  11. Yeah remember thinking that. The late turnaround at home to Norwich also really changed things. Shows how pivotal certain games can be in a season. The question now is whether Brighton will do a Norwich now or not............ I commented at the time that there would be quite an adverse mental impact on Brighton after losing. It was their biggest game in a long time. They genuinely expected to win it. Statistically everything favoured them once they were leading and it was late in the game when things turned. It took more out of them than just a defeat. Chris Hughton has his work cut out right now. As you say, it's not just the loss it's the nature of the defeat. Last minute, no opportunity for a fightback, all very debillitating imho.

  13. . Where is that Brown on loan from? Chelsea He looked quality. They've used the loan market well this season Huddersfield.
  14. that much better than what we've got you think? looks average to me I've seen him a number of times, in the flesh, and he's a really good player. Definately capable of making the step up and very very steady. Edit - we bid for him during the summer before last and many clubs hold an interest. Fulham have also made lots of bids for him but not been successful.
  15. They've got some young german kid who's supposed to be very good to deputise apparently.
  16. I know quite a few and they all are . If Rotherham do the unthinkable then the wheels would have truly fallen off  .

I can see Boro finishing bottom.
  18. Reading always ko at 8pm. Don't know why? Possiblt something to do with the massive chow on of actually getting to the ground from Reading town centre. Reading is a fucking nightmare, traffic-wise, and imho the worst place in the country to drive. Never have a straight forward journey through, into, via or passed this fucking place.
  19. Agree with this. Possibly the 'ugliest' he's been asked to play for us before and he did it very well tbf. Dictated the play even from a much deeper position.

I might have some of that. It's not going to be easy to flush this turd. They won't go without clinging to the pipe a bit longer.

Have to say, I think they would have nicked a point from todays fixture if it was at this point last season. The played fairly well in the first half. Under BFS they seemed to have more belief at this point.
  22. Wouldn't want to be in their shoes now. The worst possible time for the wheels to come off. Arguably they needed us to win yesterday more than we needed us to win .
