Chuffed to bits. Had Cisse to score in the first ten minutes @ 22/1. Also got over 2.5 goals and Cisse to score in a NUFC win. Could be a big night if we notch a winner in the second half.

I'd say yes in respect of the overall effectiveness of the team. Debuchy improves us tenfold in respect of offering a balanced threat down the right and left and Cisse gets his position back. If this was the way the window ended, I'd have taken it beforehand, helped by the constant shite in the press about Ba's contract being a thing of the past.

They wont play him out wide, he'll get splinters in his arse from sitting on the bench mind. Tells you everything you need to know about that man that he is still happy to make this move despite Chelsea making it perfectly clear that he will be second choice behind Torres. Plus they've got Lukaku coming back next season too. Now THAT would have been a signing. Ba + £'s in exchange for Lukaku. Kid is going to be a real player.

Not surprised in the slightest that he's off and won't miss the 'will he/won't he' debacle every time a window comes around. He's done fantastically well but is inevitably going to be an Anelka, working his way from signing on fee to signing on fee in order to fund his brothers/advisors/pals/cousins etc etc. I never really took to the guy for that reason. This was only ever going to be a short term relationship and, in many respects, it's nice to just get it out of the way and move on.

Really funny you posted that as I was thinking the exact same thing this morning. Lescott for a few months, paying only a % of his wages, would represent good business if it's the difference between paying a fee for Douglas (or similar) or getting him on a free. We could really do with his experience/quality right now too.

I fear we will. Have felt that all week. Spelling out the obvious but if they get a result at our place they'll be 9 from 15 since Redknapp was appointed and looking like potential survivors. The incentive for them is absolutely huge. That and Cisse will give Willo a fucking horrid time if he starts.

QFT. This line people (Ba, Ryder et al) trot out 'we'll be fine if we play like we did against City' is just pure bullshit. We were playing against a side who took 20 mins tea break at one point FFS. Our performances have gradually improved but anybody expecting us to just turn up and play them off the park is in dreamworld frankly.

Totally agree. If I was MA, I'd buy a top fwd this window and then knock his bargaining power right down. Either he stays or he goes, at this stage, I'd just wish he'd make his fucking mind up.
