  1. HA HA HA HA HA HA - What a fucking miss.
  2. I don't know about you, but I like going to the match to cheer on good players, rather than celebrate the year's profitability. Nah mate i agree. Of course i want to see the best at our club all im saying is in no other business would a profit like that be turned down. We arent big enough nor strong enough to say no...that is the worry, but if it does happen then i accept it. Move on. 25mil is the least i'd be happy with though. Sorry this is nothing to do with being 'big enough or strong enough' it's a point of stategy and ours is very clear when it comes to selling profitable players. Indeed. The only way we get 'big or strong enough' is keeping our best players and adding to them. Yup.

    Sunderland...

Thought I couldn't hate the bastards any more but the appointment of that odious little prick has seen my hatred level reach new heights. Made for each other.
  4. Like a young B.A Baracus;- 'Hey Pardoo I ain't getting on no bench fooooooooooooool'.

    Probably playing him up front.
  7. Of course, eventually you have to take a Spurs-esque stance (with Modric) but I don't ever see that happening under this owner. The price tag before the team every single time. I don't think spurs ever received that kind of offer that was in the bracket of Carroll for £35m for modric or bale. They'd have to have a £50m cash upfront offer on the table to be anywhere near that kind of madness, and if they did I think they'd accept. Every player has his price, as cronaldo showed, were no different, it would just be nice to have absolute faith in the powers that be to invest the lot back in to the first team and keep rebuilding, that's the real issue here. Spurs recieved an offer of £40m representing a £23m profit. Still good money in anyones book. They sold Carrick and Berba for big money but seem to have taken a stance with Modric with Redknapp quoted again today saying don't bother making any offers for him in Jan as he's not going anywhere. I believe him as he seems to have some degree of influence at Spurs. Pardew will never have this ability at NUFC which is a shame. And that marks the difference between us and those sides above us and is why we'll never consistenly progress above mid table under Ashley - because he's not prepared to invest beyond the minimum nor reject offers for the good of the team. Of course every player has his price, but every player doesn't have to be running around with a price tag on his back, effectively advertised for sale. That's where we are now imho - there's not an offer for any player that would go without response. It really is rinse and repeat stuff under Ashley - buy a player cheap through either good scouting or good fortune (contract situations, break clauses etc) give them a season and then sell for a profit - great for the bank balance not so good if you wish to see sustainable improvement over the long term.
  8. Also, FWIW, I think Pardew has been alluding to this happening in all of his pre-window quotes.

  10. Probably right TT - wouldn't be surprised to see the fee rise as we're hardly desperate to sell. There's only so far you can go with the buying low game imho. For every Tiote there's a Obertan.
  11. Times have him moving to Chelsea for £23m and, from memory, are normally pretty accurate with their Chelsea stories. They say the same as the Mirror in that Chelsea want him in during Jan whereas he wants to see out the season here and move in the summer. £20m profit in one and half seasons though. Can't wait until the £60m get's reinvested. Fucking hell, we'll be Champions League bound.
  12. Nothing to do with his decision making - he doesn't have a trick. Thats his problem. Write off. Doesn't matter. Look at Valencia at Man Utd. He's not got a single trick in him, but always beats the fullback on pace. Obertan lacks a footballing brain. He can cross. Lightbulb heed can't. Valencia knocks it past the fullback and whips in a cross. Obertan can't do that as he's not got any consistent cross on him.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Haddaway man you don't leave out a player like him because you're worrying about Norwich. Obertan gives less protection than Laurent Robert did but with the added bonus of having zero talent. Bang on. You absolutely don't leave out a player like him against a fucking championship quality side like Norwich.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Fine but why not bring him on at 3-2? No excuse imho.
  16. If he can't make any impact whatsoever against a fucking side who were playing league one football a few years ago then he might as well hang his boots up. You know his problem? He's not got a fucking trick and everyone knows it. Might aswell stick Linford Christie on the wing.

Must be wondering why he bothered joining a club that play fucking lightbulb heed and Sameobi ahead of him. C'mon man - what the fucks this all about?
  18. Raylor having as bad a game as I can remember from a NUFC fullback.
