It could mean anything. He might have just knocked his leg and it wasn't as serious or whatever. If he'd faked an injury, I couldn't see him being stretchered off anyway. I trust our Doctors are a bit better than "Oh, he's rolling around and screaming in pain, best get the stretcher" . What were you lot saying about most declined posters? Sorry, is your assessment based on no evidence better than my assesment based on no evidence? Nobody knows but Guthrie whether he faked it or not, all I'm saying is people shouldn't be taking it as gospel. My assessment is based on reality rather than some lad who is playing devils advocate on a message board to try and stand out. You're better off having an opinion in life Jonny. What are you fucking on man? This is my opinion. I'm not trying to stand out at all. You try to play devils advocate quite regularly in many threads and it's boring. It's like you're a bot on commision for creating replies by posting the opposite of what someone has said.

He'll be gone within the year after finding his level last year. Fair do's for his efforts last season. If he finds a heart, loses a stone and improves his stamina he might be capable of a lower prem level career.

Yet there's no proof, that's my point. Many thought that he faked it, but alot are treating it as fact. What proof are you looking for? An interview with The Chronicle? Court appearance? A sworn oath? As opposed to - Guthrie isn't that good + he gave the ball away which must = faked injury Having had a nightmare all game. Thinking about it...........maybe it was the heart removal op at half time that he struggled to run off. Yep, that'll be it.

Just like you know more about the problems with youth footballers than NUFC apparently. It was as plain as day he faked it. My opion on Nile Ranger is based on what someone who works at the club told me about him. Not on messageboard speculation. My opinion on Guthrie's injury is based on over 20 years of playing football and knowing when an injury could be genuine or not.

How many players are stretchered off, then are not reported to be injured by manager or press, and sit on the bench the week after? Quite.

He pretended to be injured because he was embarassed, you can't blame folk for being hostile. Not embarrassed - he pretended he was injured because he fucked up. He hid from his responsibilities and then curled up and died. It'll take a fair amount of very good performances to win me over.
  11. What if it had been a racist opinion? Then it still would have been a private conversation and if people in the room had a problem with it they could have taken the opportunity to re-educate them to their face as opposed to stitch them up by recording and publicising a private conversation. I'm not big fans of either of them tbh but I do think this is a load of hot air.
  12. They're both allowed to air an opinion in a supposed private conversation. Much ado about nothing iyam.
  13. Lots of positives to take from that. Good result, same as last week.
  14. Gateshead 2 up - Martin Brittain with the 2nd.

    Ryan Taylor

Not really. Jarvis (Wolves), Downing & Albrighton (Villa) and N'Zog (Wigan) all off the top of my head.
  16. Never thought about it before but, Oba would've been a decent partner for Carroll. Little and large. Would he fuck. He's got no brain. QFT. All running and no cunning.

Routledge = Can beat a mean but can't cross. Raylor = can't beat a man but can cross. Advantages and disadvantages to both. If we're playing opposition with a left back that's not capable of roaming forward then there's less risk in playing Raylor as the LB won't need to be pinned back by the dangerous pace/breaking ability of Routledge. Raylor costs us possession regularly though as his short range passing isn't the best and he doesn't have a trick/the ability to hold he ball in the same way as say a Tiote or Jonas. So Raylor won't relieve any pressure through possession. If we're playing an inferior team though and we can dominate in other areas/win set pieces regularly then he's worth having in the side due to the sheer quality of his crossing from dead balls. It's a null point when we've got Joey Barton fit though because his crossing from set pieces is very strong which doesn't warrant the inclusion of Raylor as he brings nothing else. So, long way of saying, neither are good enough and we need to replace Routledge with somebody who brings something extra in comparison to Raylor and Routledge.
  18. Yep - me too, I'd have doubts if we were after him. Has one season wonder written all over him.
