  1. New 'Billionaire' Owner................. New Manager who speaks sense and knows his job............ An improved squad with a net spend of less than £10m....... A Chairman who is keen to engage fans, not so keen to make stupid statements/claims for the press........ A more organised side where players know their role............ Some people still having a whinge...........fucking priceless. Get a grip lads. It's 4 points of of 6. We look nice and tidy at the back WITH a new left back due a start and with a RB likely to be brought in within the next 6 months and we've got a bunch of forwards who still need to learn each others games. I'm still mega-optimistic. C'mon the lads. PS: I'd rather watch a Sam Allardyce team than a Martin O'Neill one ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.
  2. I reckon Sunderland for Harte. I rate Mido as a decent player, don't get me wrong, he's certainly not useless. I also think he'll get goals and do a job for them BUT why has his price gone through the roof and will he be there any more than 12 months? Doubtful. Thats what makes him a dodgy buy for them imo.
  3. The most bizzare thing about this is how his price has increased by more than 50% since Pearce nearly signed him in January. I don't think he's kicked a ball in the meantime. I know - I really don't get it. I can understand the Citeh Board flogging Barton (fairly cheaply) cos they had no option (after Dabo) and needed the cash at the time but if they didn't sell him you'd think he would be having a pop at them in the press, negatively affecting his value. The surprising thing about the whole Mido situation is that, for once, he's been quiet and kept his head down. That must've helped increase his value but, even then, £6.8m? No way! Weird.
  4. How have Spurs managed to turn a profit on Mido? Jesus Wepticus. They've had nothing but problems with the fella. The Premiership prices have gone mad this summer! Glad we got Barton when we did when you think of the cost of other young english players.

    Kieron Dyer

Asking Egghead for more cash is a bit of a pisstake. The baldy git hasn't had his hand out of his pocket since he bought the club. Fix the problem yourself Curbs - you useless lump of shite. That said, if you still fancy Dyer, fill yer boots baldy.
  6. Good point. Nobody should be above reserve team football, previously always got the feeling Owen was. I think it was more of a case of that before, as soon as Owen was fit enough to walk he got thrown prematuraly straight into the starting line-up, as opposed to being above reserve level. Disagree Andy. If you remember Roader gave him longer than anticpated to recover from injury and held off playing him for a few games and refused to set any comeback dates for Owen. He thought he was too good for reserve team football or didn't have the nuts to tell him to play IMO.
  7. Good point. Nobody should be above reserve team football, previously always got the feeling Owen was. He was previously. Now Sam has shown he must earn his cash. Good work in my opinion. Was always the same with Shearer as well.
  8. Nailed on to arrive at St. James - even if just on a temporary contract.
  9. Just keeping Dyer fit I suppose without risking a non-performance in a competitive match. I'm chuffed that BSA has decided Owen must play. That was always one of my bugbears with Roader - he never made Owen play reserve team football when returning from an injury. I don't think old Glenda had the balls to tell him he had to. Good work Sam lad.
  10. What? Shag her or beat her with a crutch Shag her. Then beat her for going anywhere near that Drunken twat Robson.
  11. Clare Tomlinson. I probably would though. In all fairness.
  12. It must be some form of degenerative condition because the article goes on to say that he'll be ok to sign a four year contract. Presumably this means they've assessed his medical history and whatever he's got he can perform to an acceptable level over the next four years and is worth the risk.
  13. Anyone who watch it give us a summary of who stood out and why?
  14. Nice to see Big Sam send all of the boys over to thank the traveling fans. Good stuff.
  15. Exactly what I thought. Twice I've thought "Oh fuck thats the Scouse bastard shouting.....must be 2-3". Nicholas you're a Knobhead.
  16. Phil Thompson just shot his load all over the Sky camera's. I hate the twat.
  17. Do we really need a new thread on this twat?
  18. That's a shite bench. If we're not winning by the hour mark then we've about had it. Not sure I agree with that. Solano will still give his all and Ameobi, with his bigger physique these days, can hustle their defence. Whilst Cacapa should give us a reliable option if a Defender is lost through injury. Agree, it's not ideal but I've seen a lot worse.
  19. Has the line-up defo been confirmed?
  20. Why? Not only is it shite, it doesn't even rhyme and it's not even remotely humerous. Other than that.........yeah lets do it.
  21. Thats quality - we need to get it going at the Ground.
  22. Sniffed around but there was nothing concrete I believe. For me only Derby are really weaker than Sunderland on paper. For me Wigan and Brimingham's attacking options are better than ours, while I reckon the likes of Fulham and Boro have stronger defences than us. However as I've mentioned before, in my opinion any other season and this team would be a cert for relegation. But this year we seem to be in luck at just how poor the teams I expect to see around us are. And so I do believe there is still chance but I just think that we have a Championship class squad, with the possible exceptions of Richardson and Gordon). I do agree, riches, that investment in January could be vital and I think we are in the fortunate position o having a board that does seem willing to plough cash into transfers. SAFC, Your right about the Board. For all the talk and press articles around Keane, for me Quinny will be your star asset this season. He'll invest when previous Boards wouldn't. That could be your saviour.
  23. Basically I agree with this. He will be away at the end of the season anyway once we've gone down. Who goes down will depend on who invests in the best way in January imo. For those struggling, which incidentally I think Sunderland will, the key to their survival will be investment in Jan. That might keep you up.
  24. I bet he's got a load of clauses for when they go down. If he's as good as people say he is, then he'll not be there long. Fact.
