What i was told. I can obviously see why people are a bit 'meh' about this, and thats fair enough Time will tell particularly with the Rennes player (midfielder i think). The lad i was talking to is trying to find out the name of the player. I forgot to add that the bids we made at the end of the window were all rejected as we were getting quoted astronomical figures. These strikers to replce Carroll were: Crouch Elmander Carlton Cole Again make of it what you will. I'm just passing on what i've heard. Owen Coyle said that they had no bids at all for Elmander.

As long as he keeps performing, i couldn't care less what he says.
-
Will get some abuse tonight if he has a stinker.
-
Not if Carroll asked to go.
-
Thought we would have heard from him by now.
-
Start the drinking early tonight, going to be a long night. 3-1 Fulham and the start of our slide to a real relegation scrap.

Give it to the charity shops, they send them over to Africa.

To get the deal done in time.

Pardew said in his press conference Carroll wanted new deal now, not prepared to wait til summer.

Also, we have to stay up first. -
Tbh we don't know how much he is on, for all we know he could be on big money already, and is still wanting more. We will never know the real story.

Some pretend bids coming in the summer then. -
That's what I give Carroll my last trust - he didn't want to leave but just want to do a Rooney to get a pay rise. Which is just as bad.
-
He the bald idiot?

If they wanted to build a team to win things & keep their best players & had the means to do so then they should react to what other clubs are willing to offer the lad if they want to keep him ofcourse. Otherwise they would lose him, as realistically they likely will at some point. Its very simple, if you dont negotiate you'll lose your best players as the player will nearly always go for the money if its being offered & they are being much more highly valued elsewhere. How much would you be willing to give Carroll?
-
Carroll for £0million was a steal. Selling Carroll for £35 million was robbery.
-
He really isn't a £35 million player though.
-
People do realise we have sold Carroll, not Messi.
-
He has to have more than 6 good months of football to be worth anywhere over 30k. He hasn't and isn't worth it.
-
Was over it when the bid was accepted. Simple fact is he didn't want to be here- if he did then he would not have left. Support the players who are here and look forwards.
-
But have you edited football manager?

How's that? They clearly weren't happy when Hughton went but still spanked Liverpool. That day was for Hughton, if Carroll was in the wrong this time maybe we will see another similar display.
