Good point. Never seen a player progress as quickly in my life. I remember when he was first breaking into the first team and coming of the bench. Clearly remember saying to my mate that he'd never make it and would be playing League One football in a few years time. At the start of this season I still had my doubts and have got a bet with my brother where I have to give him a quid for every goal he scores past the 10 mark. Mind you if I'm £15 down at the end of the season I'll be over the moon.

I hate the way Stoke go about winning football matches. Can't remember seeing them score a goal which wasn't a header or a bundled effort into the net after a goal mouth scramble. Fair play it works for them but they're just the footballing equivilent of people spamming grenades and rocket launchers on Modern Warfare 2.

Surprised more people aren't mentioning the barca game with Tino's hat trick. Best atmosphere I can remember at SJP.

Definately my most hated person in football. Since he took over Spurs they've quickly become the team (along with Liverpool) that I despise the most. I hate the fact that all the cockney press treat him like some lovable cheeky chappy. So pleased he never took the job here.

Gerrard for me. The number of times he has saved Liverpool is amazing. Sure, he hasn't got the technical ability of Messi but he's more likely to take control of a game. Think back to the Champions League final against Milan. Gerrard pretty much took that game by the scuff off the neck in the second half and led Liverpool to victory. Wouldn't have happened without him. I think the fact that Gerrard plays for Liverpool who most people (myself included) on here hate while Messi plays in Barca is having a big effect. If Gerrard was a foreign player playing in Spain and Messi played for Liverpool I bet the votes would be the other way round.

Hope the points come off this season tbh. Can't stand West Ham as a team, due to some irrational hatred I have of them. Also didnt they say they were gonna spend a fortune on players this summer if they remain in the premier league? Surely that means more competition for us?

If he is guilty then he has to be sold but let's hope we handle it better than we did the sale of Bellamy where announcing "he'll never play for the club again" immediately wiped £5m off his market value.
