  1. This thread will be interesting to read at the end of the season
  2. Steve Bruce is managing Newcastle United in 2019. What's your point?
  3. Liked him better when he only came out with quotes for why he wanted to leave.
  4. Expect him to be included in the squad, get put on at the end of the match when Bruce is desperate for some magic, and then for his hamstring to get torn so we lose him for longer than what we'd do if he was rested for this match.
  5. Why can't you do that while at the same time working against the club instead of trying to work with it? Edit: Meaning that working with it actively works against your higher aspirations.
  6. Pros: It's a quid. Regular updates about what they're doing. Greg's on the board. Cons: It's led by the TrueFaith knackers that have self-promotion on their minds. Cons: Aspires to work WITH the club to improve the experience of the match going fans. That's all you need to know to save a pound. Useless trust until they grow a pair and go to war against the club instead of trying to work with it.
  7. I thought Norwich despite the result played well against Liverpool. Can easily see a loss for SD FC in this one.

No worries, there will be 36 more games this season where people will say exactly the same thing.
  9. I'd not give two shits about them and enjoy the team and football. Laugh in their face if they ever spewed the "we were here when" shit.

Basically confirmed the source of much of the propaganda bullshit that comes out when their laundry gets too dirty.

    What does it say?
  13. First half felt like hard work papered over the lack of a plan and organization. Second half was second half.

Cronky man, that's a helluva lot of speculation in favor of the people who are known to lie and deceive the fans. You can't just make up an imaginary contract offer to argue against what Rafa has said.
  15. zzzzzzz go cry somewhere else where your own echo chamber conforms more with the majority since you are obviously just as set in your own opinion. People with credible sources are telling you that your perception of an attendance is marginally wrong. Why is that so difficult for you to come to terms with? It's incredibly difficult to estimate how many are in the stands by just looking at it. Spread them out evenly enough and it can look surprisingly full even with large numbers being away. fwiw I thought the stadium looked nearly full and was really dissapointed, but I believe the numbers that has been coming from staff at the stadium more than your guesstimate unless you've counted.

Think it's fucking shit, mate. Jesus, when I was 18 we were in the Champions League with Sir Bobby in charge, taking us to the Nou Camp and San Siro. We had some limited players, some great ones, but I could really dream as a young fan. Must be so fucking grim for young fans now, there is literally no hope, no dreaming allowed at Ashley's version of the club. Same here. I remember having long conversations about our title chances the season we ended 3rd under Sir Bobby with my accounting teacher who was a Man Utd fan. I was so optimistic and hopeful back then and genuinely thought we had a good chance of winning. In some way since we ended up not winning anything during the good times I do wonder what is worse - to have nearly experienced it and getting all your hope squashed once Ashley went full retard or for full retard mode to be modus operandi.
  17. Clearly the pass was piss poor, while at the same time Willems should clearly have recognized that and moved towards the ball. If Dummett hadn't messed up his pass, Willems wouldn't have a mistake to make. If Willems was a tiny bit pro active, as he should have been, the pass wouldn't have been intercepted. Both at fault for the goal. Some people will however always only look at the last action that led to the goal and put full responsibility on that action alone.
  18. The players were up for it and worked really hard. Everything else was poor. We won't see that effort in many more games this season, and when the effort decreases we'll get stuffed by most teams as the "tactics" will be more exposed.
  19. To be sold you need interest, and I doubt many clubs would look at Lascelles as a good investment. He's a decent player, maybe a bit protected by Rafas system so we'll see how he performs this season, but any club above us 7th - 16th would probably not think paying the English premium for the return he gives is worth it. 1st - 6th would probably not see him as good enough. Lejeune is struggling too much with injuries. Schar has had one season.

Some the comments on that article man, fucking morons. “Themoscow72 11 minutes ago You went for the money as simple as that Rafa and money which is tax free. You could have stayed but chose to move on. The club could have sacked you after that poor start last season but they stuck by you when many other clubs would have got rid. You chose to repay them by moving on. That is what you should do and goodnight.” Darwin award winner in the making right there.
  21. Was expecting same formation as Benitez used, only with Almiron in Perez' role, ASM in Almirons role and Linton instead of Rondon. How silly of me.
  22. How can something be predictable when it doesn't precede anything though? After 18 games if the same mistakes that cost us today are happening, then yes, predictable, but after the first game? I'm not sure that makes much sense. Fwiw there was some promising signs in the first half today in our play and a few players in particular caught the eye. I'll choose to not plummet into abject misery just yet. You're far too sensible. You're completely wasting your time though. They've been waiting all summer for something to go crazy over. Even though they all claim not to care anymore. You can be such an idiot at times. This is the most relaxed a fair few of us probably have been about a season. I just find it quite bizarre that some people treat this as some sort of clean slate every season with the "let's just see what happens" mentality. Ashley has steered this club from one catastrophe to the next. Losing Benitez was one such catastrophe, and he just compounded tenfold it by appointing Bruce. Their records speak for themselves. Pretending today's game was the worst we've ever seen and it proves all the players signed are terrible is so ridiculous, and going on and on about it in the match thread is tedious and stupid. It is immature and childish and it s completely ruining the forum. You do not have to do that all the damned time to prove you no longer support the club. If you cannot understand that. You sir, are the idiot. You could just as well say that a lot of people are bored of your obsession with putting a positive spin on everything just to stand out. Going on and on about it in every thread is tedious and stupid. It is immature and childish and it's completely ruining the forum. However, this is a forum where people share opinions, so I won't say it. Except I don't do that do I? You guys just lie all the time to suit your narrative man. It's so terrible. You do it all the time, liar.

  24. Going to be glorious to watch when the players loses the early season effort, and then any faith they may have for Bruce.
  25. The whistling when Arsenal is stalling is music to my ears. This is what all of you paid to see. Are you not entertained? Idiots.
