Was it him that started the attack too for our goal before his assist with the through ball wide or Bruno?
-
It's a shame because he's clearly been brought in to make an immediate impact. Had he played at...fiorentina or something he'd come at half the cost and would probably have been eased in and had lower expectations from fans and club.

Fucking Welbeck....again

Terrible idea. If anything PL money should be more evenly divided through the league and down the pyramid. Stricter requirements for new owners of clubs in England to prove they are fit to actually run a club, not only the "fit and proper persons" test. Put some sort of requirement for a parent company or bank guarantee on any loan a club takes up to ensure they won't go bankrupt if they end up not being able to maintain/pay their loans while covering operating costs. Scrap PSR.

Didn't see the goal in good video quality so could very well be that he is as good with his shoulder as he is with his head.
-
Another headed goal for the 2m tall beanpole Jan Åge Fjørtoft said couldn't head a ball I see.
-
How long can pre-season be a valid excuse too? Despite not training with the team, he was still training individually. He's been training full time with Liverpool for 2.5 months now. Played 318 minutes of PL football and...210-ish(?) minutes of international football. Almost 6 games worth of minutes.

Didn't watch the game yesterday, but the last two games Germany played he was playing off the shoulder of the opposition teams CBs trying to stretch them rather than coming deep to receive the ball and drive the team forward. Never received the ball. Like 60 minutes of overtime Osula-duty where you just run after the ball when it is circulated among the opposition defenders with no realistic chance of ever getting to it. He'll be excited to get back here and get back to business playing in a proper team.

Send the vid to Elanga so he can copy the run of Estevao.
-
Hopefully this is the last time we hear his name mentioned in the media. Just get down to business and let actions speak for themselves.

Disagree. Less likely to be sold to an ultra rich owner yes, but more likely to be sold in general. Literally anything was better than continuing with Ashley. I wasn't even particularly interested in PIF wealth, I just wanted someone competent that was willing to maximize income and only use the money the club could generate to be the best it could be.
-
We'll never know, but before the takeover was on the horizon the most realistic way to get any positive change was for the club to cost Ashley money to keep afloat, thus increasing the chances of him selling up.
-
I don't really value his importance to the club pre-takeover as I saw him as an annoying get out of jail card at a time where I actively wanted the club relegated to force necessary changes. He basically had one important season for us as far as I'm concerned, which was when we qualified for CL.
-
Who knows. Doesn't really matter anyway. The only thing that mattered was that our and Forests accounts were in the clear PSR wise.

"Feel the fittest I've ever felt" are the famous last words of every ageing MMA fighter before being knocked out in spectacular fashion. Fingers crossed it doesn't translate into the footballing world.

Rafa should become a DOF imo... if he can resist the temptation to meddle in the day to day coaching

6 months injury free. Just played the full 90 in 4 successive games over a two week period.

I'm past the stage of having euphoric relief when signs one, and on to the stage where I'll still be annoyed after it has been signed because what the fuck took you so fucking long. He should have received a new contract, hand delivered by the Sheikh himself, paper infused in perfume with an additional 0 at the end of the figure above the dotted line the day last season ended. At the absolute latest the day after Isak went to Liverpool.
-
On ability alone Tonali, followed by Isak then Bruno. Out of them I'd only include Bruno in my top 3 though. 1. Trippier transformed us in so many ways. Signaled to other potential targets that we meant business, was integral in setting standards off the pitch and seemingly transformed the dressing room by creating unity among the players to fight for each other on the pitch, and was of course crucial for our survival with some great defending and important goals. Been supporting Newcastle and watching football since early 90's and can't remember ever seeing a fullback better than him playing for us. 2. Bruno 3. Burn

It's almost 6 months now since he was cleared for selection following his knee issues, isn't it? Playing time has somewhat been limited due to easing him back in, but mainly because of how well Burn has been playing. Seems to me he has overcome his injury issues now.
