Fully appreciate that. I'd like to see our new signings play as much as possible too.

Not comparable. Elanga's body with his explosiveness and pace is way more susceptible to injuries than Bruno.
-
Elanga played 63 & 72 minutes for Sweden. Murphy has had two weeks to train and prepare. Makes perfect sense. Elanga will start against Barca.

Why didn't they spend 5 minutes to dissect the offside down to the finest pixel here?

Out of curiousity, when you say he appears to be a gamble, what do you mean by that?

The negativity is travelling too fast for me to catch up.

Howe confirming in a press conference two days before a game that a player will not be ready for the game due to injury is now a rumour?
-
No, that's Oba Martins you're thinking of.

Nobody should be surprised about this. It was written in the stars 133 years ago.

I know I'm an absolute cunt for complaining after a 11-1 win, but Østigård is as low iq as footballers come. He'll be the death of any aspirations we might have in the WC if he gets any minutes. Record win of all times ruined by a retarded romsdaling.
-
He'll be fine by beginning of October, just in time for the next international break.

This. Those judging him on these two games are just a bit thick tbh. Get him into a team that will involve him more in the game, then judge him.

I'm an FM nonce that prefers talents with high potential ahead of boring known experience, but got to admit it feels nice to have someone of his quality that can step up and contribute right away without needing to bed in while Woltemade gets up to speed.

Pretty much my view of it too. Not the players fault some people get extremely weird parasocial relationships with them. Nobody on here would bat an eyelid if a colleague quit for a better job elsewhere beyond wishing them well in the future. If it was a particularly good colleague they might even side with them that their employer should have treated them better.

One thing is being able to spot a talent, another is knowing how to utilize them. Souness wanted Luis Boa Morte and Nicolas Anelka, but got Luque and Owen from Shepherd as they were more glamorous signings. Even if Souness got his way, I don't see him doing any better than he did result wise.

Working conditions taken into account I thought he did well. No striker will look good alone up top for a team that never manages to involve them in the game. Yeah he had two shitty headers and one failed attempt at dribling past Skriniar who's been one of the best CBs in the world the last 6-7 years. Which striker has a 100% success rate at anything? He worked hard, held the ball off from multiple opponents and found a team mate the few times he received the ball with his back to goal. I'm not good enough at football to judge his movement, but he was constantly trying to get into good positions as far as I could see, but he hardly ever received the ball. Think we'd do well to have him come deeper than he did in this game to receive the ball and have him be a more active part of the build up rather than having him playing off the shoulders of defenders, but we shall see. I feel we had a similar issue with not involving Isak more too a bit too often, but maybe Howe will do some tactical changes since Woltemade isn't as quick as Isak is.

Would be great if we didn't hear from him again and he just goes and does the stuff we need him to do in the background.
-
The same Bruno that posted publicly that he wanted Isak to play and that he was our best player a few weeks back?

Germany should have tried to play the ball to his feet through the center and have him him try to play overlapping wingers through on goal rather than shuttling the ball out wide all the time so their wingers could pass the ball back to their defence. The few times he got the ball with back to goal he fended off two-three players and found a team mate.

Tah is a professional football player?
