And the "experts" laughed at us when we said this guy could take us down if given the job.

I'm at 9.5 now, and I absolutely mean that. The .5 point is only in the hope Sunderland can save us with their inability to pick up points.
  3. "god coach, well respected" wtf, sure his teams have shown ust that. FFS Pen !!
  4. No Changes - hmmm what did you see out there Carver, you freaking idiot

He's not going to walk, he just said today that he thinks he should be given a pre-season, that's only fair, lol !!

No they were questioning his leadership qualities and saying there is no respect for him, from day one.
  7. It was that wonderful footballer Ryan Taylor, that just gives it away. We need that experience in situations like this !!! FFs
  8. How can anyone connected with the ownership think we can get another point this season. It's just not going to happen. The guy they put in the job is completely clueless. We are going down for sure now, only Sunderland can save us now.

    Sunderland

They went to Everton and Chelsea and won last season. Everton were unbeaten at home and Mourinho had never lost in the league at Stamford Bridge. After last season I'd never write them off until it's mathematically impossible because they've got this knack (and a bit of luck) of winning when they desperately need to. Yep. Also, it's difficult to predict results this time of year, as motivation is a huge issue. How motivated will Everton be, with really nothing to play for, Chelsea having secured the league ? Arsenal is the only banker loss for me on that list, but even then we've seen plenty times Arsenal not win games you would expect them to. Who is their other game against, they have 5 left I believe ?

I can see the Mackems getting a win this weekend. We are screwed if they do and we inevitably fall to defeat against the mighty Leicester City.

It would be interesting for some jornos to question the likes of Steve Howey and all who said that Carver would be a safe pair of hands to get us to the end of the season and there was zero chance we would go down. Hmmmm.

West Brom aren't Safe yet, they are only 2 pts ahead of us. No way and sunderland getting 7 points I don't think so either but from 5 games they still have a chance to get there. West Brom will still have a lot to play for when they come to SJP, unless they get three points at the weekend, because historically Pulis's sides have often stopped playing when they hit that number.

  14. Don't Sunderland have to play Chelsea in their run in ? Hopefully Chelsea still have something to play for by then.

    John Carver

Looks like we were all wrong here: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/john-carver-phone-call-inspires-9139792 The guy is pure inspirational.
  16. This protecting the Kids, nonsense the kit man has spouted, since he got in has to be one of his bigger mistakes. Giving Armstrong a start (or at least more time than the last 15 mins when we are behind). This needing experience in situations like this has really worked for him !! It's probably too late now, but we need some youthful energy out there, hopefully that will rub off on the others, to make them give a fuck.
  17. IF we stay up and McClaren stays at Derby. I can't see them, even them being that stupid to give the gig to Carver, it's just too much of a risk for them. If they do, he won't last 10 games into the new season, we'll be by then on a 21 game losing streak !!!

http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04/29/36c31a8bb98792c03b1b10bb53d84b21.jpg I even think he would get us a point over the next 4 games, which might be enough, certainly got more chance than Charver. That's how bad the kit man is.
  19. Exactly which should be zero endorsement that their manager is good enough. But the last manager we hired got sacked from a League 1 club so we have history here.

If we lose to Leicester, I honestly think that Ashley has to act and bring someone in, if nothing else to get "new manager bounce". I would even be prepared to accept the likes of Vennables, George Graham (if he's still alive), Redknapp or Curbs, that's how bad things are at the moment, I think each one of them is more than capable of getting the 2 points over the last 3 games. He's simply got to act if he values our PL status. Carver will lead us to 11 straight defeats, absolutely no doubt about that.
  21. It's strange how Carr is always seen in this light by fans. Surely being part of the "trifecta" running the club, his part in the abject failure of this season can not be completely ignored. Obviously we don't know the inner goings on at the club and if his advice is not being heeded but if indeed he is pushing for McClaren then I question his judgement and lose a lot of faith in him.

I don't want us to go down for one reason really, the likes of Williamson, Raylor, Jonas (love the guy but he's past PL quality) and Sammy, will probably be offered contracts. While the better players like Sissoko, Janmaat, Krul and Perez will be off. I'm hoping for a point at Leicester and from somewhere else a point more, which I believe will be enough to keep us in the PL. Sad, sad state of affairs it is this close. How the guy can even be considered as the perm choice is completely and utterly ludicrous.
  23. got to hope that Derby get into the playoffs, and hopefully promoted that surely will rule out McClaren, if they appoint Carver, whatever division we end up in they know that they are dicing with their ability to make money. If he can't keep a team in this league from a 9th place start with half the season already gone, giving him a full season would either see us go down or not bounce back any time soon.

Looking at our 4 fixtures: Leicester are flying at the moment and it's difficult to see how this NUFC team can stop the run they are on. However that may instill a bit of complacency in them and tbh they were one of the worst teams I've seen Play at SJP early season. Looks like a home banker on paper but we may sneak a draw from it. QPR at home have a half decent record, way better at home than away, we've beaten them though late in the season when we've needed to before, much I think will depend on their desire, if they still have a chance to stay up we could lose easily, but if they are already down then may be a good chance to pick up a vital point. West Brom aren't mathematically safe yet, only 2 pts ahead of us, they could be a lot more comfortable once we play them. Pulis usually sets his teams up to not lose away from home, that could be in our favour, if we can find some defsive ability we should get a point here. West Ham, last game of the season, with nothing to play for, you would have to expect that we would get something from the game, but we are so bad at the moment that we can't rely on their non interest. I think 2 more points are needed for survival, 35 probably won't be enough now, the home games are the easiest, but get a point at Leicester and we would be virtually there. This nufc team though under the kit man is perfectly capable of losing all our remaining games, 11 in a row no problem at all.
