Totally agree, this is a baffling one for me, i just can't work it out for either valencia or ourselves. Have you not read this thread like? It's very simple. The guy was part owned by Danubio and Valencia. Valencia are in financial s***. They decided to buy the other half of him in order to send him out on loan, so that when he returns he may command a fee, as they need the money. We have decided to be the side that loan's him out as he ticks alot of the boxes. In order to protect their investment they have made him sign a four year deal, before going out on loan. Next year if he impresses, Valencia can get a healthy figure and we may be able to get a good player that we have had a chance to look at. No i f***ing haven't read the thread, i'm hardly likely to go through 12 pages of the usual s***, just looked at the last page. It's still a very very strange deal, no matter how you try to explain it. Hardly the news i was expecting to be greeted with, when i woke up, lets hope the day gets a little better. Afar: Whinging specialist Yep The Tevez and Maschareno transfers were hardly clean cut but I doubt the Manchester United and Liverpool fans weren't whinging like big kids about it. I'm sorry jon but there is a little bit of a difference between players of the pedigree of Tevez and Maschareno, than there are with an obscure uruaguyian international. He might turn out to be a world beater, then this deal will be a great one but at the moment forgive me for not getting all moist at the prospect of another loanee, i've never heard of. I hate loan deals, they have never worked out for NUFC, the two decent ones we had Saha and Distin, were not secured and the rest have been a pile of crap.

I've been down in the dumps about it since the day after Coventry however today i'm feeling, we could be in for an exciting day/night

If Ashley Young was so... If Jonas Gutierrez was so.. If Martin Petrov was so.. If Elano was so... etc etc... Not saying Milner was worth £12m btw but this "if so and so was soo good" thing has been proved wrong so many times now. If you were manager and someone offered £9m for him, would you have accepted it Jon? Serious question. No ifs or buts, just yes or no and reasons. No because Villa offered £12m If you were manager and someone offered £4m for him, would you have accepted? Based on what Danny Guthrie (and i'm not that enthralled by him) can do, yes. In reality I think about £5 would have been fair for him in terms of a decent, adaptable squad player. I dont rate him but always said he was a good squad player, as a first choice, we need much much better. I think we did embarrassingly well financially tbh Now come on Milner's no world beater but five quid !!

I started the thread so people could have a go at me as a doom monger as some seem to think I am. Since then we have sold Milner and had to field Ameobi at Arsenal and bring Barton on. A good season would be a season where we have a chance of europe or a good run in a cup, a season where we look like we are progressing would be saved. To have any chance of doing this we need a quality: target man, a creative midfield player, a left back (not Atouba). We also need squad players in certain positions to add competition to places. Having seen Jonas on the right I think he clearly prefers the left & Milner leaving leave us short on the right wing. It's a pity we couldn't get shot of Duff whilst Zog needs to start coming good on early promise. In fact as I look at it there's hardly a position on the pitch where we do not need to strengthen. Very well put but of course you'll be called a doom monger.

Championship league more like.Who said they have a champions lge midfield? Half of there freaking fans, who call us deluded
-
lol just checked the scores, sunderland's "champion's league" midfield doing fabulous i see.

KK said only yesteray that contract negos were on the back bunner until the transfer window close, complete bullshit or old news if you ask me.

Bollocks to be honest, he got one foul against Van Persie wrong in the first half which led to a dangerous free kick, which shay made a great save. The only other thing he got wrong was not giving a penalty against us when colo dived in. The one he did give was cat iron I'm sorry, no reason whatsover for zog's arm being where it was.

How do you know we haven't signed or came to an agreement with anybody today? How do you know we have, despite the lack of any confirmation of anything ? You really are living up to NE5 nickman of Thick Mick aren't you, honestly i swear you should really look to engage your brain before posting ! Lets see Maccelsfield town have probably signed Kaka today, because there's been no word that they haven't, FFS. Words are cheap mate, we need action and we need it bloody fast.

That was the most disappointing aspect. There was none of the courage or will that was so clearly evident at Old Trafford. The two performances were night and day. They same to have a huge inferority complex against Arsenal away. We caught ManU on an off-day and Arsenal we didn't. Just as the game at Old Trafford was promising but not something to get carried away about, today's showed up our weaknesses but isn't a total disaster. It's like the f***ing Moulin Rouge in here!! Totally disagree. If you couldn't see the desire, commitment and willingness to fight for the cause at Manure and the total lack of any of that today, then you are a blind man. How the opposition played has fuck all to do with our desire and will to get a result.

You find it funny ? Cos I find it fucking worrying.
-
With the exception of Given, who saved us from further humiliation, there was literally nothing good to take from today's, you are just kidding yourself if you think there was. We were fucking atrocious in almost every regard apart from goalkeeping.
-
This is fucking ridiculous, i'm sorry, I hope to god it's buillshit.

Another day passes by without re-enforcements !! 2 days to go.

Just finished watching the game, that was a truely horrible performance, we were lucky to get away with 3-0. Where are to idiots telling us, it's not the end of the world if we don't strengthen ? I don't care how good Arsenal were, it was criminal that we just didn't compete.
