Newcastle United 2-0 Manchester United (02/04/2023)

Is there actually single Manc in any of those?! -
It is for me like

Holy shit, top half below City/Arse is now looking as tight as bottom half. Tomorrow is a must win, otherwise a couple of losses could leave us level with Villa and in 7th come end of month. Villa seem to be going through the same phase we did post-Xmas last season.

Such kindness from the villa fans https://www.villatalk.com/topic/23986-weekends-football-31-march2-april/page/11/#comments

Ah fucks sake. It's happening again where we can't put it away. Only a matter of time before Man U break and score. -

Think Rashford is nailed on to score again tomorrow. Don't think we'll beat them, but manage a score draw. -
Honestly, how? I keep seeing predictions from our own fans and others that we'll soon splash the cash big time. We're a least a couple of years off having the requisite income - that's assuming the PL doesn't block lucrative sponsorships.
-
Was at least expecting a £30 mill a season official tyre partner! Seriously though, our transfer spending could be severely limited for a few years yet.
-
Not the ground name though
-
Qualifying for CL this season would only allow for extra spending in 2025 summer window, surely? Or can you spend on anticipated CL income? Otherwise we're limited to any extra commercial income we bring in by the summer, and more likely competing with Everton, West Ham and Leeds on purchasing power. Don't know why other fans believe we're going to splash the cash big time when we're seemingly a long way off being able to do so.
-
Poor show from Bruno that. Michael Owen would have dribbled through the lot, smashed it top corner and left those little punks in tears
-
I've pretty much lost the will for wild goal celebrations. It's a relatively mild 'get in there' until I'm confident there's no VAR review. My wife was urging me last night to start fully enjoying goals again - and I gave it a proper go when Anderson netted....
-
The Premier League could still cripple our progress if they deny a significant increase in commercial income. Europe + only a marginally improved squad could send us back down mid-table to 8th-12th. We clearly have the potential to grow significantly and don't see why commercial sponsorship can't reflect that. Unfortunately the PL could have other ideas.

1-1. Think the lack of squad depth and tactical flexibility will continue to hurt us. -
Is it still the case that any cost of ground expansion can exclusive of day to day operating costs and FFP regulations? i.e. Owners just can plough in £150 million or whatever it costs without affecting team budget. I know UEFA were proposing to include capital spend in FFP, so £150m on ground would result in £150m less on squad.

We seem so bad with set pieces and balls over -
Just seen that stud to knee challenge in the Man U game. How the fuck is that not a red if Bruno's was?

This is like a living nightmare. Didn't think we'd win, but losing Pope and Dubravka cup tied is a disaster. Dreading next weekend.
