To Howes credit he really seems to have fully grasped how we need to move going forward with recruitment, in order to navigate PSR and give ourselves a better chance of competing. I think we are going to be fine going forward. We just have to get through this season really. Champions League this season would be a massive help to get us there quicker by making even more significant moves this summer. It's going to be a tense end to the season. Just hope he can figure out a way to get the team over the line.

I'd have to sack of next season. Carragher would be impossible to stomach man. God help us.
-
Yeah, I thought so. God, if Ipswich win this I think I'll be sick.
-
I think that's only the case at the start?
-
Don't think that's correct. We would have been the same ball Brighton are.
-
We would have got Ipswich at home if it stays like this right?! My God ...

At this point I'm just looking forward to the end of the season and all of this being resolved. Arsenal and Liverpool fans are so insufferable and annoying at the minute. If he goes it absolutely has to be abroad.

I really like Ramos and Muani. Asensio is 29 and so no point really. Would be tempted by Ramos, Muani, Kang In Lee and £50 million. If we do have to lose Isak I just pray to God it will be abroad. The way Arsenal and now Liverpool fans are so certain they are going to get him if we don't get Europe is really impossibly annoying.

Yeah, I agree. Said as much in the match thread, that Gordon should have been the one going off. It was quite nice not having to worry about our right winger struggling to control the ball, hold off players, dribble or find a simple pass in that first half. It's a shame Gordon got sent off, because I think Murphy needs dropping going forward, as he was so poor yesterday.

Was just goofing around. No big deal.

Osaula doesn't play for us or exist.

Good man Zirkzee!

Has looked much more dangerous, which is pretty damning.

Yeah, I think he loses is head and so lacks composure moreso than usual when things aren't going well. If he starts a game poorly or goes through a rough patch during the game, it tends to just keep going that way, as he starts losing his cool and pressing too much.
-
It's mostly forcing things when he's not playing well, or going on to waste good opportunities moreso when he's off it. Doesn't seem very composed at all.

Was having a shocking second half. Poor decisions, poor passes, mis-controlling the ball, and the crowds groans were getting louder. Thought he was getting frustrated with himself more than anything, which led to him lashing out. Guy is too emotionally volatile. Really needs to get a grip when things aren't going well. He either starts trying too hard and making more mistakes, or is prone to losing his head.

Gave his all to make something happen. Unfortunately it looked impossible with us having to rely on Willock, Murphy or Wilson for the final touch.

The poorer players are dragging the team down. I think teams have now realised Burn and Schar can be loose with the ball, and certainly Murphy. We are suffering badly with their lax play, and it really unsettles the team, and then they all start doing it. Quite disillusioned with things at the minute. If we end up outside of Europe, may be worth looking at making a big sale to properly build up the team.

I'm over it. Not strong enough physically and is always seemingly off balance, leading to some impossibly clumsy play.
-
A winger at this level that trains most days of the week, and yet struggles to control the ball and dribble with it. I just can't get my head round it. It's incredible really. Now his crosses and forward passes have started falling apart too. Very difficult to watch at the minute.

We didn't deserve to go through at all, so can't be overly upset really. Thought bringing on Murphy and Willock, and not taking off Gordon, pretty much sealed our fate, as it actually made us much worse. Murphy and Willock at the moment really get under my skin. It's actually sad how poor they are.
