Hope he's more Bellamy than Lovely Pants but having said that he doesn't want to come. His workrate looks top class but he's playing to stay there and this is a pre season jaunt.

The players we have at the club who we expect to carry a threat have a poor goalscoring record (excluding the injury prone Ba).

Check out Ben Arfa, Marveaux, and Cabaye's record, very average.

Our two best scorers were shown the door.

And we are very thin on the ground as far as defenders are concerned.

If we do not sign two more decent defenders and two more strikers this squad is only 2 or 3 injuries away from a relegation fight.

I won't be surprised if his I want to stay in Paris talk is a ploy to get a better contract offer from us. Likely already talking to his agent.

Bendtner is terrible at Arsenal but I think that's more to do with him being more of a traditional centre forward. He tries too hard to be like all the other twinkle toed striker/wingers and just looks a mess.

That season he had at Birmingham on loan at just 19 had me thinking he was going to be a huge talent. He has been a big dissapointment since returning to Arsenal though.

I think in a different team he would be much better. Just how good is anyone's guess though. He could definitely just do with being played central all the time, and at least seeing some crosses come into the box once in a while.

Would be worth taking a chance on.
