I’ll never not love seeing that clip!
  2. How did his rebound header not count?! The defender cleared it but it was on target?!

  5. Colo for me - shame he didn’t move on two years earlier when he wanted to as people remember those years!

  7. Klich, Neves and Dallas cards 90/1
  8. Yep, this. The number of times he’s got away with flapping at and missing crosses lately is mental too! If Southampton had of made it 3-3 rather than have it cleared off the line for the supposed foul which never was then VAR would have overturned it and we’d have taken a point max!
  9. His presser is coming up - "encouraging signs in the second half vs Chelsea" nailed-on!
  10. Dubravka HAS to be back in! First time I've missed this fixture since December 95 (THAT season when Phil Neville snapped Gillespie and ruled him out for a few months  !

  12. He got an injury and Diame and Shelvey turned undroppable!
  13. Strong team tonight - might only be 4-0 on Sunday!
  14. I agree with the comments but Pardew is a far better manager than Bruce!

Same - to be playing South Shields in a few years, please!
  16. I don’t need stats to know that Dubs should be back in but quite surprising these! https://www.nufcblog.co.uk/2021/02/18/alarming-numbers-prove-martin-dubravka-must-be-recalled-karl-darlow-dropped/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
  17. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/feb/18/real-sociedad-mikel-merino-premier-league-newcastle-manchester-united-europa-league Mikel Merino was going into battle but at least he had a song to sing. There’s a pause, a smile and he begins, memories of St James’ Park. “He comes from Spain and he’s effing class. In fact, he’s better than Fàbregas: it’s Merino, la, la, la, Merino.” The lyrics haven’t left him, then. None of it has, he says laughing. “What I most take with me, the thing I’ll remember when the years pass, is the fans; the way they lived football.” He recalls Benítez’s “very, very methodical” management. “It’s a pity there was that [difficult] relationship with the owner, that the supporters were unhappy. You could feel it: the players knew. But the fans were spectacular. There’d be the chance to break and they’d go mad. It could be 70 metres from goal and …” Merino’s eyes open wide. “… And they thought we might score. What hurt most about leaving was the fans. I was happy but never quite felt 100% in football terms. And the chance came to go home.”
