Sad news that the South Shields Sunday morning league has folded. There was four leagues 20 years ago and it’s been down to just one last few years. Real shame.

One of my mates won a canny amount during that run - he used to put £20 on Ciisse 1st and 2-0 scorecast - off top of my head, Chelsea, Liverpool and Swansea!

If I wasn’t off to Brighton this morning then my fix would be the over 40s final between Hebburn and Hartlepool at North Shields’ ground at 10.30 followed by the promotion play-off final at Perth Green between Jarra and Thornaby at 3!
