  1. I think he just looks like a skull if that makes sense
  2. Boo hoo. It’s called being Man United manager, it comes with the territory. I love that we don’t whinge about the press or refs, it’s just a total waste of energy.
  3. Spot fixing is very much a criminal offence but I imagine the burdens of proof for criminal proceedings is higher than what the FA need
  4. When they were talking about him on OTC when he originally announced he was quitting they mentioned that being Barca manager whilst also being Catalan is absolutely exhausting as your are the de facto head of the Catalan Independence movement. They said it’s why Guardiola loves being at City as he can just be a pure football manager and not also seventy other things. Hopefully he tries his hand elsewhere at a progressive club, he has some good ideas but could never really fully realise them at Barca. Him and Pirlo jumped to the big jobs too quickly and when both clubs were in situations where it is almost lose/lose. Bit like Shearer in our relegation season I suppose.
  5. Yeah the Journos on the Ratcliffe payroll are even less subtle than the ones Man U previously paid
  6. I think buy in is what a manager lives and dies by, the Ipswich lads haven bought into McKenna as he’s improved all of their careers and they know they owe a big part of that too him. Similar to Howe and Rafa here, the players could see they were improved (and in some instances had their careers saved). At Man U that dynamic isn’t really there, these are all established internationals for the most part and have seen managers come and go. There was noises that his training sessions when at Man U weren’t all that liked. It’s why unless you are a former elite player (like Alonso) or a serial winner (Pep, Ancelotti) it’s incredibly hard to motivate players at these mega clubs unless the situation is already favourable.
  7. I see that snake Fagioli made the Italy squad
  8. I think Brighton put out their interest in McKenna as a social experiment to see how many of the big clubs would take the bait. Talented coach no doubt but got promoted shipping more goals than Sheffield, from a selfish point of view he should jump at what’s is offered to him now as his stock may not be as high by Christmas. Brighton would be the sensible option but money talks.
  9. Shocked that he’s actually been dropped
  10. why are they all dressed like they are off on a hen doo?
  11. Hmmm the journos are just doing their job at the end of the day and chasing a headline. If you show that you’re easily riled then you will invite it every time like Ten Hag and Klopp. It why Howes technocratic way of answering questions works really well. He very rarely gets baited anymore because he gives them little reaction.
  12. Everyone always going on about Cities charges but Chelsea’s always seemed much more serious but we never hear anything about them? City’s are they have financially doped revenue to raise their own limits where as Chelsea actually hid transactions so they wouldn’t show as breaching. City will probably be able to argue in circles about how FMV etc are defined whereas Chelsea seemingly don’t have a leg to stand on.
  13. Felt like Man U put a lot into that, a hammering would probably have seen them take players off early.
