  1. Or we’ve been quoted a prohibitive price by clubs who don’t want to strengthen us?
  2. I assume Arsenal don’t want to strengthen us which is fair enough
  3. He moved to PSG to try and get out of Messi’s shadow and win a CL and thus a Balon D’or. Instead he ended up in Mbappe’s shadow and getting injured for multiple CL crunch games. In retrospect it’s been a terrible move but at the time it probably made plenty of sense.
  4. I’d hate him less if I didn’t have to read 7652 pointless updates on Rasmussen Hojlund every hour
  5. They hate having to say anything positive about us on that show for fear that they’ll let the Saudis win.
  6. Best I can do is a Caulkin https://archive.is/aQgEM
  7. Hope this is an embellishment and he didn’t verbatim call it the ‘Spotify Camp Nou’
  8. People are worrying about the price, it’s pretty much the going rate these days for high ceiling young English players. City have just sold an non English academy player for close to 20m who hasn’t played a minute in the league. 40m (which is just the rumoured amount and is big chunk of add ons) for an English player, who’s already shown that they could be absolutely top level is probably about right. If he achieves what is expected of him then 40m could end up looking great value.
  9. Lowball bastards I think Frank has said in numerous interviews that Raya was the only player for sale and that the price is £40m. Arteta’s Spanish goalkeeping coach was poached from Brentford in 2019, he’s probably the one who’s pushed the idea of this deal.
  10. oh yeah I agree, it was more a comment on Sancho than the rest
  11. Ashley Phillips was tenuously linked with us the other day but looks like he’s gone to Spurs. Joachim Anderson has been the repeat link in the window but seems he might cost a decent whack.
  12. Sancho was a player getting bought due to hype and profile at the time. It felt like they didn’t give the slightest consideration as to what made him so good at Dortmund and if the same conditions existed at Man U.
  13. Worth double in a few years if he stays fit
  14. They literally sold Salisu yesterday mate
  15. Perhaps a loan to buy at a higher price, they make something against the sell on fee and we get a season of him proving his fitness?
  16. Heffernan the most Irish lad ever Interesting bit about Brexit being the reason of them joining the Milan clubs, makes sense we’re picking them up as soon as we are eligible too.
  17. He cost them £5m and signed a new contract in Jan with no release clause. They can ask for whatever they want, unless he breaks both legs his resale value is always going to be a massive profit. Brighton recorded record profits as a club last year, absolutely no pressure to sell. Leicesters downfall was the transfer inflation as they became more successful - their punts became more expensive as their reputation for scouting relatively unknown gem’s increased. When these started failing they became bloated and unable to shift them. The allowing players like Tielemans and Maddison to run contracts down wasn’t smart but only a small part of the story.
  18. Earl of Pitt Street does a belting Sunday dinner and is 5 mins walk from the ground. You’d likely need to book mind.
  19. Poor Moyesy can’t catch a break
