  1. I wouldn't be totally against this, providing the fee and wages are relatively low. I'd certainly say he's better than Ranger, Shola and Lovenkrands from what i've seen. As for Best, the jury is very much out.
  2. We need to get rid of so much rubbish, man.
  3. 12 goals and played a part in christ knows how many others.
  4. That would be the season in which he got 12 goals and played a part in christ knows how many others. And was booed off during the final home game.
  5. In the sense that the fan's get on Jonas' back like they did with Robert. Two frustrating players. Does something poor in the game and you can hear the abusive shout outs and groans go right through the ground. The two of them combined would be one of the best LW's in the world. Robert was one of the best LWs in the world. Would agree on this, though I got laughed at by quite a few friends when I said it. Imagine if we had a LW now that would score 8-10 goals a season and around 20 assists with Carroll upfront. Ask them to name 10 better ones during his peak. You'll get silence. Pires, Giggs, Ronaldinho, Nedved at least. Feel like im missing someone. I agree somewhat, and I'll rephrase: The two of them combined would arguably be the best lw in the world. Rivaldo - if you can count him as a LW (which he did play - just not all that frequently). Overmars at a push (although in decline). Kily Gonzalez (was probably as good for as short a period of time). Luis Figo (sometimes played on the left I believe). Overmars and Gonzalez better were not better than robert in those 2 seasons. The original comment was that Robert was one of the best LWs in the world. You can't be one of the best LWs in the world if you are exceptional for only 2 seasons. That is not nearly a long enough period to be regarded as one of the best LWs in the world. How stupid are you? In those 2/3 seasons he was one of the best LWs in the world. I'll ignore your mindless name calling as I suspect most people should. My point is that you can't look at a player's two season period and say he was one of the best LWs in the world. That's bit like saying that Kevin Phillips was one of the best strikers in the world at one point because he had a few good seasons. Looking at a small isolated period is utterly pointless. He wasn't, though. Robert was.

    Dan Gosling

Lampard has a genius IQ, apparently.

    Sol Campbell

That's because he didn't play at the start of the season.

  11. People who absused Robert just didn't understand football. It was also far easier to have a go at him than Shearer.
  12. 7AM. You should have tried being an English cricket fan for the last month.

    Alan Pardew

We were one place from bottom, just ahead of Sheff Wed.

You can't put Bobby's success on the same level as Keegan's, man. There's no comparison.
  15. Yeah, I bet you've seen loads of Blackpool this season. Alongside Tiote he'd piss all over the shop.
  16. Said 18 months back that we should sell Nolan and buy Charlie Adam. If only.

    Sebastian Larsson

you forgot Routledge and i don't think there's much between him and Jonas either. There's a fair bit between him and Jonas, tbh.

    Alan Pardew

Because he's got you 3 wins out of 5 in the league, perhaps? And no, this doesn't mean I think he's the right man to help you progress long-term but see how he does, no? Win, lose or draw on Sunday, I can see Pardew getting zero praise. And that's not how it should be (if you get a good result). Laughable, isn't it? If we'd won 0 of those 5 under Hughton, you can bet your house that ATB would still be waxing lyrical about him.

    Sebastian Larsson

    There's no marginally about it.
  20. If he's on the bench and our two starting strikers get injured, i'd say it's a safe bet.

    Sebastian Larsson

To be honest, he's a better player than Jonas. Most seem to have him in their best Xl.
