Krul obviously has the better agility. It's a shame he hasn't spent the last few seasons out on loan, there's no substitute for experience and his judgement is the only thing standing in the way of a No.1 jersey.

I read an interview with Colo a few months back in which he said he was using the gym after training to lift weights and had gained 5 kilos or so because of it. Perhaps the club have implemented personally-tailored training, or he could he have just decided himself that he needed to do it. Either way, Guthrie (and a few others) should be involved in the same thing. A 'one size' approach suits nobody.

Laughable that a certain poster on here called James a 'very good' goalkeeper. Laughable that Rob Green was your number 1 choice England goalkeeper. Not really, he's better (and had a better season) than James and more experienced than Hart. In retrospect, young Joe should have got the nod, but no choice from the 3 could be considered laughable. Contradicted yourself a bit there. Not in the slightest, read it again. Or look up the word 'retrospect.'

No, not defintely. Guthrie on the other hand defintely isn't. I'd be interested to see how you would use Guthrie, and would you adapt his training at all? He needs to be put on a weight-training program designed for strength and hypertrophy. His natural fitness is also poor so he needs to be working a tad harder than the average footballer on his cardiovascular endurance. Interval training such as sprints would probably be most appropriate.

No, not defintely. Guthrie on the other hand defintely isn't. He's a much better bet than Smith, but I don't want to see him starting regularly.

Barton and Gosling are more box-to-box dynamic than creative in the traditional sense. Guthrie just doesn't have enough about him physically to be relied upon in the PL.
-
We need to get someone in the midfield to partner Barton if we plan to play 4-4-1-1. Guthrie won't cut it.

Give it 3 weeks.

They're in big trouble if they lose Adam, or if they keep him actually.
-
That's a brilliant header, to be fair.

We're going to survive.

You don't have much of a clue, do you?
-
Don't exaggerate, we'll be playing better sides than this lot every other week.

Carroll, Xisco and Vuckic for Lovenkrands, Ameobi and Smith.
-
f***ing embarrassing, that midfield and attack.
-
No. Youd play what instead? Lua lua & vuckic? Massively experienced there yeah. Who cares? Alan Smith shouldn't be anywhere near. It serves no purpose whatsoever to put him in the team ahead of a talented prospect like Vuckic.
-
No.
-
Smith and Nolan, i am shocked.
-
His anticipation is good but his movement often lacks tact and timing, which is why he's offside so much. As for his pace, it completely disappears when he gets the ball or has to combine it with strength.
-
He's also the weakest and the oldest. Not to mention pretty incapable of creating goals for others.
-
It's not as if he's intelligent on the ball or quick over a distance longer than 10 yards.

I'm enjoying this mass 'fuck off' to African culture.
