Motivated to make the 23 shirt just as legendary. He's nee David Beckham mind. Or Carlo Cudicini.

Did we keep the ball well in 08-09? Are we likely to this season? People are talking about staying up ugly, and at the same time want to drop or get rid of our only half decent defensive midfielder? How's he half decent? Everything about him is shite.
-
Shola had his chance 8 times over.
-
Of course. He's a very, very good striker.
-
I'd rather we went for Ashley Williams.
-
And? He's still very average (at best) in the context of PL goalkeepers. Better than Harper and a good talker but nah, he's nowt special. Always liable to make mistakes.

Good.

He can't be truly judged till he gets a consistent run of games from the start. Technically he seems ok, it's just his finishing that's poor. You've said it in the past yourself a dozen times, Kris. He just doesn't look dangerous. This wasn't in a team like Blackpool struggling for the ball in the PL, btw. This was in the Championship, playing for the best team by a country mile. He doesn't look like a striker at all. You're judging a players full current ability on his first little run in a first team Ignoring the effect any level of expectation from some of the bigger crowds in the history of the championship. Ignoring the increased level of pressure hes facing every single time he gets a chance to prove himself a goalscorer in his first big break. We've no idea what standard his abilitys at yet, just as we didnt with Carroll. You especially. I've said it a million times, you don't put Heavyweights in the ring with Middleweights. Ranger should be nowhere a PL club, it'd do him and us no good whatsoever.

This 'bringing players into the game' nonsense has been blown well out of proportion. He can hit 5 yard passes to Danny Guthrie, fair play.
-
Huddersfield is a good shout. They play very nice attacking football and in theory it would be a great place for a young attacker to develop and gain confidence in front of goal. He'd also be guarenteed to start in League one, you'd hope. Theo Robinson and Novak are pretty abysmal.
-
I couldn't care less. Playing Nile Ranger in the PL would be no different to playing Ben Tozer in the PL.
-
Of course he would start, Blackpool play 433. Dobie & Campbell have went back to there clubs. Taylor-Fletcher & Euell or more midfielders than strikers. He is better than Billy Clarke. Proably on proven ability because of experience Ormerod is ahead of him. So they 1 striker imo better than him & they need 3 strikers. He'd get 3 games in the PL before being dropped, he's nowhere near that level. He's not even Championship level, man. I have told you why he would play at Blackpool. And as i've said, he'd get dropped after 3 games, regardless of what the alternatives are.

Too many focussing on the David James of the past. He's a very very good goalkeeper. No he's not, or we wouldn't be in with a chance of getting him. He's very average.

A loan to Burnley would make sense. So long as he can be recalled at any time.

I dont really think such a thing was ever set in stone. Loven, Williamson & Routledge are some recent players to join & I dont class them as younger players. Routledge had just turned 25, in fairness.
-
Ian Rush was also 2 months off 36 when we signed him.
-
Hallington Hall.
-
He's a moody git who'll walk out the second Hughton leaves him on the bench for the third game running.
-
Blame SDBS, he spelt it wrong first. Aye, Ryan Nelsen.

Simpson and Perch at CB in the prem doesn't bear thinking about. Williamson, I also have reservations about. I think Williamson will be better than the likes of Bramble, Nelson, O'Brien etc. At least it looks as though he has a brain and can think his way out of situations. If Perch is a good right back and has some decent defensive capabilities our back 4 should be able to defend well together as a unit. For that we need Routledge and Jonas to help out defensively though. If Williamson was better than Bramble and Nelson, he wouldn't have signed for a Championship club for peanuts in January. Surely thats a ludicrous statement, when Pompey just wanted him off the wage bill with some cash, and he didnt put a foot wrong when he played for us last year. I disagree with that. He looked no more solid than Fitz Hall, who got raped like a Russian immigrant in the Premier League. He'll do a job, but he isn't a good enough athlete to be relied upon this season. I can somewhat get my head around the twisted bias against Bramble, but Nelson? He's a very good defender who'd piss his way into our starting Xl.

He was in the Milburn stand just over a year ago telling everyone who would listen that he wanted to sign for us.
