It's tough choosing between Upson and Carragher. Upson was very nervous in the beginning and looked even slower than Carragher. I reckon many are plumping for Upson after that last ditch tackle (I was so nervous I actually missed it or can't remember). I'd say Carragher just about pips it for me, not that I'm 100% sure.
Carragher played only 45 minutes and should have been sent off against the USA. He then managed to get himself suspended against the mighty Algeria. He's an absolute fucking liability and should be nowhere near an international setup.
Easily the worst defender we've capped in recent years, except for perhaps Zat Knight.
Chant of the tournament so far, courtesy of Millenium Square/Wetherspoons in Leeds:
"We love you Ghana, we do
we love you Ghana, we do
we love you Ghana, we do
oh Heskey looks like you"
You're the one mixing up hard work with confidence to work the ball. In fact they're actually doing neither uptill now. Hope it changes tomorrow like.
Well no, you're accusing individuals who've achieved success primarily because of a lot of hard work of being 'millionaire playboys' because it's easier than looking at tactics and positioning.
You're just a resentful little man.
Having promise and not living up to it is worse than not having it in the first place.
Rooney's been utter cr*p thus far, even allowing for the poor service.
Your point being?
The above happened in the final 5 minutes of the Algeria game when Defoe and Crouch were on the pitch, positive positions. Capello has nobody else to blame but himself for picking the wrong players.
