Harper Simpson Williamson Coloccini Enrique Routledge* Guthrie Nolan Jonas Carroll Lovenkrands* To be replaced with Pancrate and Shola/Ranger if unfit.

That's the difference a few wins (and a goal) makes. We'll see a different set of opinions soon.
-
Which games has he been good in?
-
No, you and the other followers have established that. Against Swansea he was out of breath by the 12 minute mark, despite barely moving from the centre circle. Those who can't see a problem either have low expectations or are just blinded by his impressive tally of goals. How do you explain his decline in the last 2 months btw? Nowt to do at all with fitness levels of course.
-
So no player is slow just unfit? By your reasoning Guthrie is unfit. Slow? Why are you bringing pace into the argument? Because that's the only thing your "Nolan is unfit" argument seems to be based on. Where the hell did I mention Nolan's pace? He's slow, but that's not what I was using against him at all. So he's slow and unfit and unprofessional, right? That's why he's a disgrace? A professional athlete on 40K a week being unfit is a disgrace, yes.
-
Is he is as good a player at 27 as he was at 24?

You've got some front, haven't you? Your appraisal of Enrique is one of the most inaccurate the forum has ever seen.

If 27 year old lads on £16K a year can get fit and stay fit, why on earth can't Kevin Nolan on 40k a week? He's a good finisher and is intelligent, which is why gets goals. But as a midfielder, he's f***ing shocking and fitness is one of the main reasons for that.
-
The funny thing is, has Nolan missed his chances in front of goal this season, there wouldn't be a person on here defending his fitness.
-
So you are not allowed to put two players in the same sentence without being accused of comparing the two players ability? When that's clearly not what i was doing? According to Ronaldo's theory; Shearer at 29= f*** all running= bad attitude off the pitch Nolan has never been able to run very fast. How often did Shearer look overweight and knackered at 29?
-
Shearer never did alot of running at the age of 29, was he unfit? f***ing hell. How many times have you see Nolan play this season without the help of a Sky dish? Does a cable count? No. Although watching a match in Shearer's Bar counts as a half. Seriously though, answer the question. Not sure why TV viewing is less valid, but i've seen 14 games as SJP this season.
-
Yeah, that's a good call.

No way he is unfit? f*** off.
-
Well Geremi was paid similar, if not more and couldn't run. Never heard any stories of his unprofessionalism Geremi is 47, not 27.
-
The f*** are you chuntering on about? For someone in such awful physical condition he's done well to play 35 times this season - more than anyone else in the team. He's heavy set and he's not particularly quick but if you watch him for any length of time it's clear to all he's fit enough. Absolute bollocks. It's a massive indictment of Hughton that he's played 35 times this season, not an endorsement of Nolan's fitness which most on this forum can see is very poor.
-
Helped a woman out of the snow? He's been paid £40K a week and can barely run, man. His physical condition is an absolute abomination and if this isn't a reflection of his attitude and professionalism, then what is?
-
No, what's your point?
-
Good, let's loan him to a championship club next season and take it from there.
-
Fair enough, thought you referring to Nolan's attitude tbh.
-
Not sure how that's relevant at all. I'd alternate one of Nolan and Smith with Guthrie, personally. And when Barton comes back i'd probably start him with one of those 3. I most certainly wouldn't have Nolan playing 180 minutes of football in the space of 3 days anyway.
-
To say he has been a disgrace, is nothing short of embarrasing TBF. Nolan's attitude has been brilliant and he has brought a dozen goals to the team. To say that he lacks fitness and ability on the ball would be accurate enough but to say he has been a disgrace is laughable. His attitude on the pitch is good. That however, is the easy part. I'm confused, you seem to rate Ameobi, who I see as bringing zero to the team except goals, yet you despise Nolan, who brings zero to the team except, err, goals. For what it's worth, I hope neither gets anywhere near the team next season, but this season they've been equally infuriating when on the pitch, yet have scored some vital goals that have won us matches. I don't rate Shola at all. But he's scored a goal for just about every start in this league. Which means i'm happy for him to play. He can't be compared to a midfielder scoring a goal every 3 games and doing nowt else. A midfielder is resposbile for winning and maintaining possession and driving the team forward. Nolan has neglected those responsibilities all seeason, as he did last year.
