Not that I want to ignite this whole debate again but I absolutely cringed when I folk started comparing Beckford with Cole, my word.

Lazy with bad attitude...occasionally good but more often than not, anonymous. And i've definitely seen him more than you. I'm sure you have. I was basing that purely on 3 televised games this season and his goals tally in a bad team.
-
I could easily see us beating 4 out of Bolton, Boro, Blackburn, Fulham, Reading, Sunderland.
-
Because nobody is disputing there were a fair few diabolical performances under Allardyce.
-
Best is pretty good in the championship.
-
i'll always remember the two goals he gave to troyes in the 4-4

And how did he do that? He was part of the team that got relegated? f*** every single one of them then. How is Beye immune from being blamed for taking us down? You wouldn't say the same about someone like Owen. Because Owen contributed absolutely nowt from January onwards. And Beye was pretty average all season. Taylor was better than Beye last season, better than Coloccini as well but it pains you to admit it. Course he was. We easily looked our best with Beye, Bassong, Colo and Enrique at the back, but that's not an arguement i'm going to get into.

And how did he do that? He was part of the team that got relegated? Beye is one Ronaldo favs so out of a defence that was mainly Beye, Colo Taylor & Jose......3 of them have nothing to do with us going down while the other one got rapped more often the A.Hughes. He plays favorites more than Jayson One of my favourites? Just because he's imo better than Stephen Carr and Aaron Hughes.

Taylor might just be the most one dimentional player i've ever seen here. Strikes a ball very well but that's it.

I remember reading he won Newcastle United Disabled Supporters Association Player of the Season 2008-09. Did you vote? Brilliant. Although you wont tell me why i'm wrong. I thought he was okay that was about it. For all the praise he got was he really that much or at all better than Hughes when he played right back? I dont think he was really. Hughes wasn't really a good RB, he was solid, but got raped more than once. Two games against Fulham away stick out.

Guthrie comes inside a hell of a lot more but I rather him in the team than Ryan Taylor anyday of the week.

He's the best right-back i've seen here in 17 years. Not overrated in the slightest.

Senegalese tosser sounds better. If true I hope Barton breaks his leg in the derby next season.

lots on SMB seem to agree. also they cant need a cover for the fifth choice? strange signing. Taylor and Colo are both better than any centre backs that The Mackams have to offer Mensah is better imo but a sicknote. Taylor has all the attributes to be a good Prem defender but has been prone to the odd clanger in the past. Coloccini was woeful last season most times I saw him. The most important attribute for a defender is a brain.

He'll always score goals, unfortunately.

So Sheff utd didn't want him either? This is becoming a little sad tbh.
-
Doesn't mean anything man. So we should sign our players based on their popularity with other clubs? That's great logic. He won't be a world beater but we could do worse. In fact, we already have worse in Butt and Geremi. There's a difference between popularity and looking at his recent record with other clubs.

Having players with genuine pace on the wings and up front always helps.
