1 season out of 7 makes the lad injury prone. It's premature to call him that
-
In terms of him being finished, it's probably best to judge him on his performances next season. He has lost his pace, but his other attributes are still there (remember the % conversion stat). In terms of his hight, it's never handicapped him. His movement and judgement has lead to him scoring plenty of headed goals. His knees, well that's very relevant. You're right about that and it's the crunch for his entire future in football. All depends on his knees. Oh and don't forget Shearer adapted his game brilliantly (well so did the entire playing mentality of the team) when he lost his pace. Now I'm not saying Owen is a dead cert to do the same, but he has other attributes which mean he could. like what?
-
I don't think that he said he wanted him to do well (he might, I can't speak for him) but he said he thinks he will do, in a team with better service. Learn to read Dreseden has said or strongly implied in the past that he wants Owen to do well in the future, nowt to do with reading
-
Over the three seasons he's been at the club, he's missed enough games to niggly groin strains and similar injuries to be classed as injury prone... especially this last season. Take your fan boy specs off for a minute He was injury prone last season, fair enough. But nobody was calling him injury prone last July, were they?
-
Why dont list all these injuries then? Honestly, I swear some members of this forum come straight from rehab
-
I'd question the loyalty of any nufc fan who wants the little cunt to do well
-
How on earth does one season make a player injury prone? Was anyone calling Shearer injury in 2001 after he'd basically missed 2 out of the last 4 seasons
-
that justifies Owen not even managing 1 in 3 in the premiership from open play does it? 22 goals in 71 games is a shocking record for a self-proclaimed 'goalscorer' Give it up man
-
Martins missed at most a combined 10 games through injury in his first 2 season here. How in the name of christ does that make him injury prone?
-
well why didn't you say that then? 26 in 71 in the premiership? Aye, that's close to 1 in 2. What a f***ing record god job he chipped in with 1 assist in those 71 games eh, otherwise we'd really have been f***ed
-
The injury prone notion is nonsense, he's only had 1 bad season in terms of injuries [/size I disagree, always seems to have some little niggle that keeps him out for more time than it should. Yes, last season. Doesn't make him inury prone
-
massive success for a player who proved during his time here that he wasn't anywhere near up to it against the good defenders, get a fucking grip Close to 1 in 2 in the premiership? How is 8 goals in 28 close to 1 in 2?
-

What are those idiots doing? There are so many very good players they could afford, yet they waste their time with the untouchables, it's basically posturing from this sheik wankers, except nobody's fucking impressed
-
It's hardly panic buying, still a whole month left and no doubt from that Ronaldo money he has agents on the phone to him every other minute. Owen got 19 premiership goals once upon a time. Clearly Ferguson with his giant ego believing he can get Owen back to that. Laughable if he gives Owen a contract after offloading Ruud Van Nistelrooj 2 years back. A player basically ten times better than Owen and a better goalscorer to boot
-
Sol Campbell is destined to play for us one day tbh, probably when Shearer is confirmed. If only we'd signed him 3 years ago
-
We'll see if it's true. I certainly cant see him starting with Rooney. Ferguson all out of ideas and options tbh
-
Ferguson is losing the plot. They have an absolutely enormous amount of work to do if they want to win the league next season and Owen isn't even approaching what they need
-
Surprised this has reached 6 pages to be honest. Who honestly gives a fuck about David 'almost on the fringes of the Canadian team' Edgar?
-
This is a 1 goal in 18 striker who played against an makeshift, untried Boro defence and looked out of his depth all game until being substitued and outclassed by Peter Lovenkrands at Man U
-
Barton to his credit wouldn't have been on his way to an Elton John concert
-
doesn't really matter, does it?
-
If he goes to Man U I honestly didn't think I could hate that bastarding club more than I do now
