  1. Quite a surprising choice on the third one, given the volume of games you've seen. Why that one? Near christmas(makes it extra special), owens first hat-trick for us, unbelieveable? second half performance and it was just a top quality away game, wasnt just us playing well, even West Ham did which makes it more entertaining. fantastic day that was, had drank for 15 hours the day before and had to travel all the way to Upton Park, game was delayed by 15 minutes for some reason and it looked like one of those days. Ameobi on the wing and Faye in midfield! But christ 4 goals away from home, and an Owen hatrick And a Faye assist. aye, and Shola winning a penalty......for West Ham

  3. its called ambition Dave Signing a player of such calibre as Coloccini shows ambition. You say time and time again that it's all about going for the best players. Well by all accounts this guy is miles better than what we have. Yet you're still f***ing complaining. What a joke. of course I want more. Thats the whole point. Edit Actually Dave, and this is a serious observation, whats your view on the comments from a few weeks ago and "keeping these deals quiet"? This one has been all over the press. Nobody rivalled us for him either ........ why not ? Barca had a bid for him turned down last summer Goma, Marcelino and Pistone were not in this guy's league in terms of ability or reputation, you really don't know what you're talking about
  4. you not seen him play? he's not quite Rio Ferdinand or Al Nesta but he's up there with Cannavaro, Terry, Bramble and Puyol
  5. I reckon if he gets the Duke, Martins and Owen fit at the same time he'll try 4-3-3 once again, especially against lower table teams
  6. and tbh, Robson is pretty notorious for making a lot of mistakes in the transfer market
  7. oi, if we can afford £5m for Burdisso then we need to get him. Great player, played with Colo. I have limited faith in Faye and Taylor, lets not go there "Oi" ? If we can afford it then sure. Like Thewellander said, i'm happy to see Ashley spend. But i'd rather be sure that there's another midfielder/striker coming through the door before i see another centre-back coming in. I'm different to you though in that i think Faye is a good defender and having Taylor and Caçapa as backup is a nice prospect. I also think Faye is a good defender, but for the first time in god knows how many seasons i'd like to start the season with a defence that we have real confidence in, a defence that'll last a good few seasons. Enrique and Beye are great and Coloccini's in my top fifteen CB's in the world. It would be fantastic to just draw a line under that bloody defence with another capable, classy youngish player that said, if there is only money for another 2 players, I'd go with a striker and midfielder. But hopefully not eh?

  9. [ this was the case last year too, which I said at the time, but defenders are cheaper, or better business, or something Seriously? Without the defenders we brought in (Beye, Faye, Rozehnal, Caçapa, Enrique)... we'd have had Carr, Taylor, Ramage and Edgar to choose from. he's surely having a laugh
  10. this was the case last year too, which I said at the time, but defenders are cheaper, or better business, or something Defenders should be bought until Taylor can no longer get in the reserve squad, let alone first team. with you on that
  11. at least as good as Woodgate, probably better. As classy as Woody but a bit more aggressive. Better in the tackle i reckon and certainly quicker. And not from Middlesbrough quoting for evidence and future vindication/abuse abosolutely, i'm sticking my neck out on this one just like I did with Cacapa last year

you're right, Barton, Bellamy Bowyer are bigger twats, but fuck it, i'm not annoyed with them tonight

  14. absolutely fantastic providing this goes through it'll the signing i've been most excited about since Owen. Great defender, just what we need

What's that based on? Because it sounds like complete bullshit. based on his completely fabricated 'work ethic' and tendency to kick people when he should be doing his job. Not to mention shouting at the rest of the midfield to cover his own mistakes and generally acting like an arrogant tosser I totally agree, he's a s*** excuse for a footballer. Don't see the need to attack him as a person though, it's f***ing bollocks that. come on, he's a self-righteous prick mate, look what he did to Leeds and their fans saying he'd never play for 'the scum' and then signing for them in 2004. He's got all the integrity of a used TVR car salesman. Would you be defending him if he was a geordie and had done that to us? he's a cock Wow, footballer in hypocritical 'looking after himself' shocker. so that excuses him? because he's a footballer You've never met him, how could you possible say he's an excuse for a human being go back to the Big Brother thread and call people twats (that you've never met either) I said he was an "annoying t***" not an excuse for a human being. what's your point? Smith (on top of being a prick) turned his back on his club and his people and in my book that makes him a c*** of the highest order Always thought it was disgraceful how Ronaldo had some great years with Barcelona and then showed a lack of respect by joining their rivals Real Madrid, oh and he did it again by joining AC Milan after playing for Inter and? does it say in my avatar 'Ronaldo: lovely man, oh what a lovely man' no it doesn't, I see him as the greatest footballing genius of my lifetime

As pointed out, you've never known or even met the bloke. But what he does on a football field and his career choices mean you can judge him as a person. f*** off. how many player and managers have you attacked personally who you've never know?

Biggest dickhead we've ever signed, calling himself a true yorkshireman and all that bollocks then doing that to the fans that had cheered him all season despite him playing shite. Hypocrite, signing for Man U is bad enough

Everything else is reflective of him as a human being. and I certainly dont buy into that 'turn into a different person on the pitch' bullshit
