You've seen him play about 4 fucking games, man. Stop pretending you've got any basis to cast judgement. Well done and good luck is all that needs to be said about it, whether he 'deserves' it or not.
Given that Zat Knight got an England start during a time when we had basically the best CB options in international football, it shows absolutely nothing of the sort. Negativity for no reason, man.
If being unable to consistently score and create goals constitutes a weakness it's one 90% of midfielders have.
Anyway he generally does everything right, but lacks special qualities. That makes him a starter within our squad.
Anita and Gouffran aren't water carriers. Gouffran can't run with the ball to save his life and Anita's far more effective passing and then moving without the ball. Colback's nothing at all special but he's a CM with no real weaknesses, and arguably the only typically well rounded PL style midfielder we have. He's a bit of a breath of fresh air in spite of the what happened when he was in red and white.
The people in the stands are thick as pigshit. I hate to say it but it's completely true. Say what you want about Man U fans but the real ones aren't fooled by solid work rate if ultimately the player in question isn't fulfilling what's needed in his position on the field.
The thing is, he was never good as a winger from the start. Just a bit of a goal threat who worked hard. Been obvious pretty much for 18 months he should be up front or on the bench, and preferably the latter.
I understand the general lack of acceptance towards Colback but too many on here have him marked down as ineffective before the game's even kicked off. Stop being such petty little men.
Saw none of the game but totally unsurprised by the fact we failed to score. There's an absolutely astonishing lack of goal threat in that side, from the defence to the forwards. Abysmal.
I dunno That Man City team did ok with Fernandinho last year and they've just bought Fernando who's main job seems to be run around and kick people too.
Oh and didn't Real win the CL playing Pepe in midfield last year? Can't remember him dictating play, his job is simply win the ball back and give it to someone who can play.
