  1. Titter ye not Ronaldo, don't make me bump the post where I predicted Rodgers would turn Liverpool around. Just like I correctly predicted Man U won't finish in a CL position this year More the fact you think there's a correct and incorrect way of playing football.
  2. Ronaldo

    Paul Dummett

No I didn't, I said he looks a threat. He asserts himself well and attacks and strikes the ball well without looking like he has natural ability on it.
  3. We aren't capable of great anymore. He's solid and the type of defender we need, that's all I've said. Nice double edit.
  4. Ryan Shawcross is shite now. Sounds like someone might have an agenda.
  5. I'll ignore the absurd Taylor comment, but nice try. I've already conceded more than once that Shawcross is out of our price range. I'm not even going to touch the fact that Stoke have shipped goals under Mark Hughes. Man City were conceding 3 at home to the likes of Burnley, Bolton and Sunderland with that idiot in charge.
  6. Petty as fuck, that. And about as relevant as Shawcross getting 'merked' by a great striker in one game.
  7. We've got CBs who've been merked by far worse, like.
  8. Anything but admit they should've gone with Mourinho huh? Man U? They should've appointed Ancelotti or Guardiola. Mourinho would never have worked at Man U. Chelsea are an excuse for a football club who've been blessed with infinite money and great players. They're a perfect fit for Mourinho.
  9. Wasn't that "Keegan side" badly depleted that day? Checked to satisfy my curiosity: Harper; Beye, Taylor, Faye, Enrique; Smith, Butt, N'Zogbia; Owen, Duff, Carroll. Forster, Cacapa, Ramage, Tozer and Lua Lua on the bench. I make that just the 5 first team players missing from his favoured selection during that run, but carry on. I just think it's bloody rich that posters are lining up to crucify him as a manager despite the fact that he'd be absolutely worshipped on here if he'd been our manager for 11 years instead of Everton's. Posters who think Chris Hughton's a top manager. He's having a poor season with a squad who've been on the way down for a while.
  10. Don't remember Moyes being called negative or shit on here after the times he took his Everton side to SJP and deservedly won. Or when he took Keegan's side to the cleaners with Anichebe and Yakubu up front. Ferguson was an absolute miracle worker, I said it umpteen times during his reign.

    Nile Ranger

Nile Ripper? Doesn't even make sense.
  12. Think how many rubbish French players we could've bought with that.
  13. Ronaldo

    Steven Taylor

    6 weeks too late, like.
  14. He's exactly what we need to partner MYM. You can guarantee we'll get someone with no PL experience and not nearly as good.
  15. I didn't think Harper was first choice there. Is he?
  16. Ronaldo

    Paul Dummett

Baines strikes a ball as well as almost anyone in the league, though, to be fair.

    Paul Dummett

He looks like he could actually be a bit of a threat in the final third in spite of a possible lack of natural footballing ability.
  18. If you want to watch us continue scoring 1 goal every 7 games they would, yeah.
  19. Yes. If the plan is for MYM to come into the side we need presence, physicality, set piece ability and general assertiveness. Shawcross is the defender I'd go for but he's likely to be way out of our price range.
  20. A solid, physical defender who isn't bad on the ball and can score the odd goal is all we need. Obviously Colo's class is nice to look at and often gets us out of touble without surrendering possession but there's nothing to say we need the exact same type of defender.
  21. Whilst Coloccini reads the game better and is a far better footballer than our other defenders it most certainly wouldn't cost the earth for a CB who'd be equally valuable.
