I find that very hard to believe. Middlesbrough won it 10 years back. Why would I want to end a 5 decade drought with that? No thanks. It's indicative of ambition. Which is something this club lacks from top to bottom. And that won't change, so why bother? The ambition would be great but ending the drought with a LC win would feel a massive anticlimax. Why does that have to be the climax? Surely a team that shows enough ambition to compete for a cup isn't suddenly going to lie down and settle for mediocrity. Like 'Boro you mean? People were digging at Pardew for the thought of Colo coming back straight back in and replacing Mym. Tbf Mym was excellent in Colo's absence, yet with that said the way people talked about Colo was like he was finished and completely s***. People = Ronaldo. I remember it well. What a load of crap.
