Now that's just sweeping generalisation bollocks. Anita has hardly played, and when he has, he hasn't played his usual role. Marveaux gets dropped every time he has a decent game. As Bimpy said, Gouffran never played past the 70 minute mark. Anita is not and never will be a PL holding mid. Marveaux is absolute quality but goes missing far too ofen. Gouffran fades badly, but not enough to warrant his lack of minutes compared to Jonas.

All 29 of them. With Williamson, Raylor and Simpson solid as fuck in the defence that's all we needed to get 65 points.

Could argue that happened to SBR. The Window when we only signed Bowyer Speed sold without his prior knowledge Sacked after finishing the season before in 5th. We were a totally different club with ambition then. The Bowyer summer was the exception, never the rule. Plus, who did we attract then? The worst manager in recent NUFC history.

When did I say he had to go in that post? Penny has dropped i said a reference to what type of manager he is. How you got the word sack out of it I don't know lol So it took us finishing 5th for you to figure out what type of manager Alan Pardew is? That makes even less sense. Well done. The position we finished at. Has no bearing on how I figured out he was negative manager. All I had to do was watch the games. Not hard is it genius lol Now I get it. You watched us under Pardew for 18 months and finally decided he was negative when we finished 5th. I'm out.

Living in a fantasy world. What decent manager comes anywhere near a club that spends no money, willingly lies to managers about transfers and sacks them for finishing 5th?
-
Ugh, quality. You've just reminded me of Hatem walking of the field laughing after the 0-3. Didn't think I could feel any worse about our fucking setup.
-
You said that's when you started figuring out he had to go, when we were 4th or 5th.
-
Aye, that makes sense. If negative football has you in the top 5 the manager has to be sacked.
-
Aye, right. It was the same turgid negativity that got us to 3rd/4th/5th.

The West Ham game marked the start of the penny dropping - never been so mad after a game in years - though I didn't fully support his sacking until the Reading farce. I defended him in the first half of the season, but a lot of it was just me pointing out that he was taking an unfair portion of the blame from the players.

Liverpool was the worst for me, the line up was the worst i've ever seen in 10 years. I was excited for the match then the team went around and it was a sickening feeling knowing what the likely outcome of the match was going to be. I was praying for 0-0 half time before i even got to the stadium. The Reading game was just an absolute farce, it seemed to me like Pardew was crying out to Mike to get some new players with some of the decisions he made, they were so bad and so far off what should have been happening I thought at the time he was just exaggerating his plea. His tactics were shocking but it was nowhere near as bad as some of the times we saw under Roeder's tenure. No chance. I've never seen a manager get is as wrong as that. I knew we were gonna get absolute dicked the second I saw the lineup.

Goes without saying. Low risk deal and a very good player to have in the squad.

Manchester City vs. Newcastle United - 19/08/13 @ 8pm (Sky Sports 1)
Ronaldo replied to Elliottman's topic in Football
the gods are with us. “It’s around the buttock – that’s where your power comes from,” Pardew said. “We need to be careful on that. We’re sweating on that one now.” -
Only 6 weeks for a collapsed lung?

Good move for all parties. Not for QPR. Agreed. For QPR it's very good.
-
We certainly lack the players for an aerial power game, but we have a decent squad if we chose to pass the ball on the deck more with real movement. But Pardew is never going to be the man to instill that movement IMO. The squad and the coaching staff are totally mis-matched. There's still not enough goals and creativity in the side no matter how we play.
-
I believe that, tbh. My dad's was on a flight with him in 2009. Said he never stopped talking about NUFC to a randomer next to him the entire time.
-
Kinnear said he was 6'2". Turns out this guy's 5'11". Definitely him then.
-
Thankfully they can't really afford to.

I don't think he will be, he'll still be heavily involved throughout the season but he's by no means a gaurenteed starter. Remy takes his place on the left wing and he's not good enough to play in the middle with the standard of players we currently have. So you think we'll be playing 4-3-3 with Remy and HBA either side of Cisse? I hope you're right like, but imo it'll most likely be Remy & Cisse up top with Ben Arfa and Jonas holding the hands of Debuchy and Santon. For pretty much the entirety of last season the formation/team we should have played seemed obvious to the fans (whether we were right or wrong) but Pardew saw it a completely different way, unless he's genuinely changed as a manager I cannot see why this season would be any different? You'd think Sissoko, Cabaye and Tiote will all play.
-
Shocking in the first half season after a good start in his first couple of games.
-
Skirge you really need to think twice every time you post.
-
It'll be easier to condense the play with Bent in the side due to his pace and general threat. But yes, he's far from a solution to the problem, same with Gomis.
