True story about Taylor. Never grew out of being the local lad breaking through. It comes back to what I said yesterday about us buying whoever's available for the right price as opposed to targeting stature and actual suitability. There are natural leaders out there. As much as I didn't like Nolan as a player he actually orchestrated a huddle on his debut against the mackems and led us through the 90 minutes.

Was no leadership on the pitch when we got dicked 7-3 by Arsenal, either - with him on the pitch with his head down. Colo's important only because he's part of our best CB partnership. Need to buy some leadership in the summer.

This is the truth. Add man utd to the list. Alex Ferguson would laugh in your face if you told him that having a stable player base was unimportant. You think he keeps Ryan Giggs and Darren Fletcher around because they're both still better than he could buy elsewhere? Lol is this guy serious??? Giggs and fletcher that's the reason they won the title, nothing to do with spunking 26 mill on a 30 year old mad scoring dutchman Fergies spine would had meant fuck all had Mancini nabbed Rvp. I don't remember them having Van Persie last season or the season before that when they finished 1st and 2nd on goal difference.

Terry, Lampard and Drogba were the spine, tbh.

When did I say it wasn't?

Yes it does. Makes you wonder why we don't win the World Cup every time for a start since our players should physically dominate every other side, especially those Spanish midgets who are currently holders of the title. Oh yeah, that'll be a huge comfort if we go down. Mbiwa getting physically dominated has been partially at fault for us losing our last 2 home games by 3 and 6 goals. Well then you should really have been questioning why he is being put in a position to be put physically dominated in the first place. How many big powerful strikers was he up against in the last two games? Sturridge, massive bastard. Yes, his goals both came through physical domination and over powering the weak and titchy MYM. That was your point right? Not really. We should have signed someone with experience of the physicality of the English game if we planned to rely on them for defensive stability in order to stay in the division. His nationality in itself is irrelevant. Don't we have Taylor to do that? He's picked ahead of Williamson on that attribute alone I'd assume. If you've got a weakness it's going to be targeted. Strikers will run at Taylor all day long and look to get close to Mapou and shrug him off. You can't expect them not to switch and attack our weaknesses out of professional courtesy.

We're just missing substance all over the park, to be fair. Nowt to do with nationality in itself. That said, the fact that Mbiwa stars in a league winning side in France and comes over here and looks out his depth physically tells its own story.
  11. Nolan doesn't, he scored shit loads when Carroll had left. He scored twice after Carroll left, dunno if that constitutes shit loads.
  12. ah but he has experience of being in a relegation battle And taking us down, the useless, talentless cunt.

They aren't at the minute. They are. Of course they aren't, man. They're attacking games and picking up points. That said, they're not gonna win 3 out of 4. So one win will be enough.
  14. still probably wont be enough 4 points won't be enough? Take a look at table, man. You and your nonsense.
  15. It'll finish 0-1 and we'll get clapped off.

Lowest position all season? Writing's on the wall.
  17. Mignolet's been a fucking joke tonight.
  18. think villa will be out of trouble by the time this game comes around. Villa have Norwich and Chelsea still. They'll get 3 or 4 points from those games. Norwich are the absolute worst.
  19. No Sess for the last 3 games? They could be in big trouble, now.
  20. 3 points will easily be enough imo. Norwich are utterly crap and Wigan will get 7 points absolute maximum from their remaining 4.
  21. 2 pretty easy games at home, like.
  22. Not even a great corner, to be fair. That's exactly what we're missing. None of our lot could dream a header like that.
