  1. Do your research, perhaps? He's exactly what we need. Top, top player.
  2. Sky have just said he's on his way to Newcastle, for whatever that's worth.
  3. Which, let's be honest, is going to happen if certain players start.
  4. Considering we've signed Debuchy and Yanga (ie, filled two absolutely gaping holes in the team), it's comments like this that have got me so excited about Sissoko. We didn't even 'need' a CM. Guy must really be class based on what people have said. For me it's partly because it should push our weakest link out of the side. That being? Jonas.
  5. Used to think that. Nobody will pay anything close to that now, or else he'd be gone.

  7. This is the big one. Opening a bottle of champagne if this is sorted.

He makes a few good points but ultimately is also a disgrace.
  9. I honestly just don't get what people have been smoking. Even Pardew rightly puts him in midfield.
  10. key word, hes clueless and always comes across as hating us. At least Edwards who you get a similar vibe from hating us wise gets some of his s*** right Yeah he never says anything seriously, like its one big joke. I don't rate anything he says and find him annoying. Martin Hardy, Culkin or even Simon Bird are far, far better. Caulkin, Bird and Douglas are the ones I take most seriously when it comes to how true or not what they write is, the rest are middling (Edwards) to clueless (Ryder) to vindictive (Hickman) Edwards is the most vindictive. Bird's a cunt, too.
  11. Getting rid of Williamson and Simpson in the same window
  12. I was sad enough to count. 18 goals.
  13. Who was it that said earlier he could be our new Rob Lee? I really miss Rob Lee. As highly rated as he is, I still think the era that he played in with Beardsley and Cole probably washed away what would otherwise have been the focal point of our comments and conversations from that time. Magnificent player, I loved him. I'd love to know how many goals he scored in the 94 calendar year. Was absolutely on fire in the latter half of 93-94 and first half of 94-95.

  15. Against Villa in his first season he seemed determined to nutmeg Schmeichel. Twice he hit it straight at him one-on-one when he should've scored. Tried it a third time (when anyone else would've just learnt and picked a side) and succeeded, scoring at the Gallowgate. Was brilliant.

Looks more one for the future than right now, anyway. Obviously ideally he'd come in straight away to push certain players further down the pecking order.
  17. Do you mean better finishing? Bellamy's end product was superb. In 02-03 in particular he seemed to have a hand in more than half the goals we scored when he was on the pitch.

    Alan Pardew

Obviously he's been woefully out of his depth in the last few months, culmitating in that unmitigated disaster on Saturday. As Cajun says, he's got a different task on his hands now.
  19. I hope we do get rid of a fair few, tbh.
  20. Marveaux operates much the same way as HBA in that he consistently cuts in from the outside. We can put him out there, but we all know he'll just be a "winger-in-name-only." Our wide forwards are meant to collapse to allow the fullbacks space to get forward anyway. I'm just not sure replacing Marveaux with Gouffran out wide will produce any drastic changes in what we're expecting from that position. Unless we're expecting Cisse to get 20 goals between now and May we need another proper forward in the team, not a midfielder badly out of position.
  21. This is the team right here, the Colo issue notwithstanding.
