If he wants to be a good player they are, though.

I'd hate another Kieron Dyer, like.
  3. Don't like Carragher, but I was impressed with the way he held himself together last night.
  4. Aye, City are only on course to finish with over 90 points.
  5. The players who've spent a fair bit of time with him - especially that lot that came through the ranks in the mid-90s - are generally perceived as being very level-headed and professional. I don't think he'd have tamed Gazza, in fact I think he'd have got sick of his antics and got rid of him. As back then he was totally different to what he is now. I can actually feel you aching to type 'Paul McGrath'.

  7. For crying out loud, Nixon. If that's the case, it's simply failure to curb ambition, not failure to control the lad's behaviour.
  8. They shook. Hughes just wasn't satisfied with Mancini's firmness.
  9. They're the 3rd best team in the league by a mile, tbh. Still miles away from City, though.
  10. Not many. Made pretty big f*** ups with Piqué and Rossi though, didn't he? They even clearly had ability before they left. Who's to say this isn't one of those examples (rather than the likes of Gibson who's never shown any ability) Absolutely nothing to do with him not being able to 'control' them. So who has left who he couldn't control? Why are you asking me? I can't think of any, as I've suggested.
  11. That's only once. I don't think that's really a refusal, either.

  13. Looks like another lovely midfield player we could hoof the ball over. Yeah, that must be why Cabaye's been one of the most noticeable CMs in the league.
  14. Nonsense. How is there any evidence of anything different? Well, if we want to nitpick, there's 3 Premier League goals in 5 starts in 2009. The line between success and failure for forwards is thinner than for the others 9 players on the field. We've seen it with a lot of strikers, upset the balance of their reponsibilities and their return drastically changes. Look at Leon Best; as the main man he couldn't stop scoring.
  15. Yeah, he really was. Beyond incredible how much he improved after that brace against West Brom.
  16. Is he defintely out for QPR?
  17. I'd rather have Guthrie than Tiote for this game anyway. I hope he's fully fit, though.
  18. I quite like Santon at LB.
  19. From his personal website:
  20. Paul Jewell and his sordid sex snaps.
