Dusting ourselves down for Leicester then? -
The more of the youngsters they play the better they are this season. They have looked so much better in the Europa league this season with the youngsters making up more of their euro squads. Regardless of what happens tonight - they need to stick with Arteta - ride the storm out and look to build again next season with 2-3 good players added to the lineup - he’s the right man for Arsenal - just needs some time and patience
-
Quite useful if you play a 3-4-3 - he can play both wide CB positions on RB and LB in s back 4 Goes to show what quality coaching can do
-
The Good, The Bad and Steve Bruce
-
Except that he was good enough for this level when playing alongside Hayden during the last half of the 2018-19 season under Rafa. He's been Bruced, and as a result lost his confidence (and maybe some of his motivation too.) It’s basically bad coaching - he’s got talent but sadly for him when Rafa went, so did his potential to have a really good career
-
Ritchie deserves that goal
-
Surprised they didn’t do the same with Haaland or did he have a contract clause of some sort?
-
No point buying him again tbh - get someone who starts - Bowen, Ward-Prowse etc
-
Man City were utter tripe last night Ffs hope Bruno stays quiet now - have had 4 really good weeks to bring myself back into it - only for Dias and KDB to contribute sweet F.A Don’t think I will captain KDB again - only have him in my team from now on
-
I have gone with KDB knowing full well Pep will bench him and bring him on in the 89th min - should have gone with Bruno or had Bruno in the team just in case
-
That save at the end by the Palace keeper was brilliant
-
Not watching the game but I’ve thought Soucek has looked one of the better midfielders outside of the usual big clubs this season. Amazing how better they look without the overrated Mark Noble in their starting line up
-
Knows his stuff, that’s why he’s so good - Don Hutchinson isn’t bad either - does a lot of European games and knows his players
-
That’s true - but their lack of possession dominance means they are over exposed at the back - they don’t even bother pressing these days which you would have thought with the youngish players they have, they should be doing it in some form
-
I honestly think their bad season is down to poor coaching - having watched them in pretty much every game this season I have come to the conclusion they have their version of Bruce in charge - biggest mistake Koeman made was not starting Puig - he is exactly the player they need - he has overused Busquets when he should be being brave and playing Pedri - FDJ and Puig in midfield to give Barca control - then you have a forward line of Messi, Griezemann, Fati, Dembele, Trincao to pick from which isn’t bad - granted they need a number 9 - but if he was tactically astute he would have used Fati or Griezemann in that role - even Braithwaite can do a job for one season - everything Barca do is so narrow and slow that it is easy to defend - I have even forgotten about Coutinho
-
Pulisic, Adams, McKennie, Reyna Don't forget Dest. Easily the best crop of talent the US has ever had. And our very own speed merchant Mr Yedlin
-
Looks like Demba asked the team to come off - he must have heard it
-
Wow Istanbul B walking off
-
Having watched Rugby and seen how the refs in both codes operate given the higher technical rules in their codes, football refs are pathetic in contrast and lack the basic common sense approach
-
Should have scored 3 today KDB
-
Agreed. Blokes got a decent squad to work with, but his teams selections are always wrong
-
Koeman needs firing - bloke is hopeless - even if it mans getting a caretaker until season end
