I'm happy for them to pass it around us for another 45 minutes. No threat whatsoever so far.. I'm worried that Graham and Sinclair would give them a boost at some time in the second, they can punish us. Hopefully we can hit them on the counter before that..
-
So are Graham and Sinclair on the bench for them? ah, just saw Dave's post

Jonas at CM, Santon LB, no R Taylor.. Goooood!
-
Aye but it was the right plan.. The first half was one of our best this season but they slowly frustrated us, getting everyone back and then retaining possession. I can't see us winning today tbh. Unless Ben Arfa has another crazy game

oh god, imagine that boring twat as a pundit.. I'd rather listen to fucking Lawrenson

Dream on Nicklas

Unbelievable today. Well done Perchy!

Donnachie's record is something like 1W-1D-7L isn't it? Obviously have no idea about his coaching qualities, but his monotone mumbling doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in me.

It's a bit small-time aye.. Finishing 6th (we haven't yet) would be a great achievement but it's hardly a good enough reason to brag. Reminds me of Stevie Bruce and the mackems' celebrations of mediocrity! WE WERE 10th IN DA LEAGUE!!

Can't wait for O'Neil to set the transfer window alight man. You just know he'd waste half of the budget on some limited huge fucks to play in defence (even though they have plenty of cover there) and the other half on Kevin Davies and Cameron Jerome or some other hopeless wasters. It took their Sewpa Owna many years to figure out two of the most obvious conman in British football - Bruce and Quinn. Can't see Short restricting O'Neil's transfer policy too much, his faults in terms of squad management are harder to spot in the short-term. Oh and how the hell is Nial Quinn considered an all time legend? His goal/game ratio is probably on par with Kluivert's or even fucking Viduka for us. Don't think many people would fancy to name a stand on them.. As a chairman, he conned some people into investing into the club and then wasted it all on hopeless managers and shite players.. loads of shite players.. but oh aye, they're big in Korea now. "We have a Korean website (two pages)! Huge success! FTM!"

Pardew knows that with Colo out we can't afford to invite pressure as much as we're used to. Can't see us being overly defensive, like we were at Anfield..

Despite the mistake, I thought he battled well throughout the match. As others have said, it's important that fans don't get on his back, especially now that Colo is injured. Even if he makes an error against Liverpool (which seems very likely the way things are going for him in the past few weeks) he has the character to up his game.
-
Very encouraging signs that he's addressing our problems. Deserves a lot of credit for his decisions today.

Brilliant win. Well done lads and Pardew.. and HATEMMM!!
-
Some lad on Total Sport was gutted the other day cause he booked his holidays at the time of the final. It doesn't really matter if they get there, on paper they already are the FA Cup holders.
-
Not nice to let him go for free while he's on the up but I can understand the management's stance. Hopefully we can replace him adequately.
-
In terms of creativity, vision and passing he's on par with Hatem - miles ahead of any of our other players. Just hope that his injury problems stay behind him.

That's not true at all like like. Both Ba and Cisse play best in a more advanced poacher role imo. Which is why I'm somewhat worried about their partnership. Playing Ba in a support role doesn't just diminish his attacking threat, it often results in our forward line getting detached from our ultra deep midfield. Imo the way forward is to scrap our ineffective wing play. We don't need to play each game with four full backs. Give Hatem the free role upfront and move Jonas infield. Pardew's philosophy is rigid to the maximum though and such a formation requires a lot of fluidity in passing and movement, so it's fair to say that's never going to happen

well done Alan. Come on Shola
