    Hatem Ben Arfa

fucking show them Hatem! Copm ONNMNM
  2. Just got back from footie, was possessed by the Dembii today. Six chances - five goals and hit the bar oce. Headers, volleys, left foot, right foot - CLINICAL! That's a sure sign that our determination and composure will triumph once again today. Was planning on watching this alone at home, cause I was dreading it but fuck that, a quick shower, a big spliff and I'm off to the pub.. hopefully some mackem turns up, so that we can make fun of him.. fucking come on! Let's beat those people!

    Alan Pardew

I watched Kadar yesterday. He seemed surprisingly comfortable at left back. Looked to get forward often, combined well with Dzsudzsak and made three very good crosses. Didn't think he has that in him tbh and that's something that we've lacked all season from LB. Wasn't really tested defensively, although their centre-backs struggled at times with the high defensive line. Was calm under pressure and composed on the ball, nobody will convince me that he'd do worse than Simpson/R.Taylor/Perch, if given a chance.
  4. In Bulgaria, they'd usually invite a Newcastle fan in the studio and just discuss us.. mainly because nobody has heard of Sunderland here. Their stature here is comparable to Wigan's or Bolton's - a dull team that nobody gives a f*** about. In that sense, the coverage is similar to UK's.. And aye, I'd say that our games with the other big clubs are more widely-advertised / talked about than the derby..

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Aye, my wild guess is that Hatem refuses to put any sort of effort in physical training. We've heard how little Shane has to beef up and in fairness Ben Arfa's frame isn't much bigger.

    Ryan Taylor

Fair play to Taylor for resurrecting his career here but let's not forget that's his 3rd season here and he's had 5-6 good games in that time. He's limited in every aspect of the game and also on a decent wage (apparently). Useful cover for multiple positions but the more he starts ahead of Ben Arfa the more critical I'll be on him, because I'm a BEN ARFA LOVAAA!
  7. What's up with that 'hauled off' thing? Why is everybody using it all of a sudden?
  8. Our direct tactics are much more suited to a similar formation imo. Our wingers usually carry minimal attacking threat and having 3 in the middle would allow Guthrie/Cabaye more freedom to roam. Definitely worth a try. I'd love Pardew to show a bit more tactical versatility at times.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I still have faith that he'll force himself into the team, regardless of Pardew's treatment. And all this "good as gone" bullshit can wait till the summer imo.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Whereas Obertan, Jonas and Taylor will shine regardless of who's playing..
  11. Obertan and Jonas MUST NEVER PLAY AT THE SAME TIME! or rather, they must not play at all.. Jonas has somehow forgot what his position's main duties are and Obertan is simply taking the piss for the majority of time.. I'd pick little Fergie over both any day. And just comparing Ben Arfa to these cloggers is an insult to the core values of the game.
  12. Good job we got Obertan and Jonas to cover defensively man.. God knows what the score would be if that lazy Ben Arfa is playing

    Alan Pardew

Howay, to finish 6th with Bolton was huge, an amazing achievement. He is a good manager. Someone who gets reults. They may not be pretty and to everyone's liking but the man delivers. Want guaranteed promotion? He's your man. Want guaranteed survival? He's you rman. Give him 5 years and he'll build your club up to be in a position to compete as he did at Bolton. Yes he was a massive failure here, hugely so and embarrassingly so at times, but the man can manage a football club, and players. Pardew is doing the same and to a very high degree today and long may it continue. But overall, Big Sam has shown he's the better manager and I think when West Ham go up, they'll stay up and become a comfortable mid-table side, the kind of side we will become under Pardew, despite our very good season thus far. I say that because I don't think he has the abilities or skills to achieve more. Similar logic would make Joe Kinnear better than both. The times they are a-changing, HTT. Otherwise I think some of your concerns are valid. Earlier in the season Pardew often spoke about adopting a more fluid approach. Tactically, it's obvious that we're often direct to the maximum. I simply feel our midfield is capable of more. Too often the CMs are sitting very deep, focused on the defensive part and it seems that playing two equally unorthodox and ineffective wingers at the same time doesn't concern Pardew. Results speak for themselves and long may they continue but I trust my eyes and imo, we're not playing good football.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Yep, I have no worries about him. IT IS A FACT ( ) that Hatem has played well, created chances and scored goals, despite (or thanks to) Pardew's treatment. He is determined to succeed here and time is on his side.
  15. Aye, I could see us getting even more complacent in the second.. As soon as they equalized, I just knew we would be more determined and focused after half time..
