Aye, it's not ideal.. didn't mean to convey whatabouttery like that but my vocab is very limited today. As an eastern european junkhead, there are absolutely levels to this shit and the limitless evil of putin's russia trumps everything for me... I know KSA were flirting with the BRICS bullshit, they're probably prone to fixing oil prices together and that but .. ah fuck it I'm doing it again

Ooo.. hard hitting investigative stuff from Jacob Whitehead, the guy who hasn't heard that Moshiri is/was a russian piggy bank.. bit bizarre to see an article like that in The Athletic, as Caulkin and Waugh are so far up Amanda's a** that it almost defies journalistic objectivity...this piece almost reads like the editorial policy has changed since they were acquired by NYT, although I doubt it.

Exactly, he sounds like it's hard for him to string a sentence without them.. I've spent my formative years in fucking Bulgaria listening to South London grime so it's a very informed observation.
-
I don't want my poor english to send the wrong message but it's my impression watching him in interviews.. might be totally wrong of course.
-
The 'big 6' can offer significantly higher wages than us.. He also seems like a lad that would rather stay in London.. maybe slightly suspect injury-wise and very awkward in interviews but I love him as a player.

Georginio Rutter has been been Leeds' best player whenever I've seen them this season. If they don't go up, they'll probably have to sell somebody.
-
Surprisingly, he speaks very fluently. Never really thought about hiring a big european name for the director role. Maldini is probably not a hands-on workaholic that will immediately dig into english football's intricacies but even as a "figurehead" with a good team behind him it would give us stature that we lack across the club. Could work if he has any interest in working in England.

There'd be a long gardening period but aye. Never liked the slimy fella anyway, seems as loyal as he looks. Also his brother went to work for Spartak Moscow six months after the monsterous invasion.. what kind of a KGB shill does that?

"JG concluded that he has been a supporter for over 50 years and before Christmas, he was very enthusiastic about the season. However, the NUFC arrangements and off-field changes have now resulted in him feeling deflated and he no longer looking forward to games, home or away, which he suspects is a sentiment shared by thousands of others."

I remember The Don and Meth actually caving in and ordering some new seats, which the fans had to install themselves. Pretty sure nobody thought of simply giving the old ones a good clean.

Danny Murphy is not an Ashworth appointment is he? He replaced Derek Wright which was before Ashworth arrived I think. edit: just read previous posts, nevermind
-
I thought so too until I watched them last night. They are beyond terrible and Mick Beale is a charlatan.. still dreading it of course
-
Better call Nick de Marco!

All the youngesters loaned to Vitesse, Girona or wherever

Finally! A sweet left foot! This is the most exciting deal for me this window. Hopefully he continues to develop and impress and makes the LB position his. A dribbler with a fine cross should help the balance in the team a lot.

They also mention that the 95% wages/turnover ratio for that accounting year is inflated due to Bruce's compensation and the hiring of Eddie's team.
-
The Athletic's take on the last accounts mentions it vaguely: A staggering £14.2m was also added into that pot covering “onerous employment contracts”, which essentially means writing off the wages of players who are no longer considered part of the first-team squad. That is likely to include Jeff Hendrick, Ciaran Clark and Dwight Gayle. https://theathletic.com/4375304/2023/04/05/newcastle-united-accounts-explained/

We might also be very close to UEFA's 90% limit of wages/turnover.

Good planning sir.. you'd find that the Barracks is the perfect accomodation for the heavy smoker. You get a wristband upon entrance and after that you are free to go back downstairs as often as you wish before the game and at halftime. Not sure if it's a designated area but there's always people smoking near the side entrance.

Veeery badly handled by the club. I recognise that there are big staff changes and all kinds of restructuring happening in the background, but this ticketing process can be detrimental to the atmosphere in the ground and throughout the fanbase in general, during the WHOLE season. Random allocation is simply the easiest route that they could have gone into and coupled with the delay.. this is really pushing it. The hospitality tickets were out today. As a foreign fan this has always been one of the easier options to attend a game and plan a trip in advance.. not anymore - I've had all sorts of trouble with the availability (some games sold out within seconds, then reappeared in random refreshes), gateway timeouts during the payment process (prompting more refreshes and uncertainty if the card has been charged) and since the afternoon - a server error which indicates that the system is not working at all for anybody. Hopefully we tear all this legacy shit up and start afresh next summer.. with new software and more empathy and respect for the matchgoing fans.

Such a lovely hard working, humble guy. Brilliant to see the respect he received in this beautiful stadium. It's amazing how he still refuses to speak a word of english
-
He was amazing in the deeper Bruno role in the first half.. we have a player for sure
-
Congrats lads! What a turnaround! What a season! Thank you Eddie, the staff, the owners and of course THE WARRIORS on the pitch! We're back!
-
It was a bad one but a completely unfortunate tackle. Their player extended his leg at the last millisecond. Could've been a yellow with a braver ref.

Can't wait to see this beauty
