  1. Roeder > Allardyce > Souness > Kinnear Don't see how anyone can see it any other way tbf, Glenn got us 7th ffs.
  2. Oh, and can we stop calling Ashley a "cockney wide-boy". It sounds fucking ridiculous. Fat bastard is a much more apt name.
  3. God please be true (the bit about Moat obviously), although in theory even if the O'Leary stuff is true he shouldn't ever get near us if Moat takes over.
  4. Not a striker though. Neither is Duff tbf. I have hardly seen anything of LuaLua though so I'll have to trust you on that.
  5. What about LuaLua up front with Carroll, he was pretty pacey iirc?
  6. Just said that to my Dad. Fucking commentators now he's a Manure player fucking love him.
  7. Owen on, hope he breaks his legs.
  8. If we go: Krul Taylor - Taylor - Colo - Enrique Duff - Barton - Smith - Jonas Carroll - Ranger Reckon we'll win it. We looked good yesterday, Carroll was great up front, reckon with a different partner (because quite frankely, Shola is fucking awful) he'll do even better. Smith looked class in midfield, did the holding role really well, Nolan was shite and disappeared for most of the match whilst Barton's short appearence looked pretty good and dangerous, if he starts our creativity from midfield should double (not exactly hard). Jonas and Enrique caused a lot of trouble on the left, although end product sucked it was good to see other teams fear us a bit. Krul, maybe not ready but looked great and Harper may not be fit yet after his knock. Colo wasn't brilliant but tbf he's the best partner for Taylor we've got. Come on lads, lets get our first win and get this season off to a flyer!
  9. I'll be surprised if any of our current strikers get 15 goals even with so many extra games this season. The way he played against WBrom, one of the favourites to win this league, makes me think over 46 games he'll grab at least 15 goals. Looked quality and our midfield looked slightly less clueless against worse opposition.
  10. Ehhh Neutral. He's a manager, pretty shite one but better than nothing imo. At the very least it'll mean we can sign some people. Wait a fucking minute, just thought, if he's willing to sign O'Leary up then why the hell not Shearer? Jesus man. Okay I wish I could change my vote because I'm now fuming.
  11. Carroll and Beckford should do alright as a partnership, if through some miracle we are able to sign him.
  12. Never gonna be the new Shearer, but seems to play the target man role pretty well. Strong, puts him self about, decent head. Reckon he'll get around 15 goals this season if he stays fit, and if we can partner him with a pacey striker he should get a good number of assists from flick ons too.

    Jonas Gutierrez

I remember when we all loved this guy. What happened, Jonas? =(
  14. Show some respect. R.I.P. yeah whenever anyone dies lets get all RIPish. it's a shame but today many thousands of people we'd never heard of died, quite possibly many more deserving of a thread. there is a cloying sentimentality around at the moment that doesn't ring true. Many thousands die each day, yes. It's different when it's someone you actually knew existed though, and even more different when it's someone you actually knew. It's different degrees of acknowledgment of peoples deaths, it's really all easily understandable and I fail to see why you do not understand it when pretty much everyone else does. Then again you're probably just on the wind-up as usual, albeit doing so in this thread is more bad taste than your usual groove. R.I.P how many RIPing actually knew he existed till this thread was created, still less how many personally knew him ? it's a shame for one to die young but for all qwe know he could have been a nasty t***. i'm not on the wind up. in general chat i put in the what mood thread that i was confused about the over sentimentality towards Sir Bob with kids of 6 and 7 who didn't have a clue about him or what he done signiong his condolence book....this is a similar thing. I'm gathering they would have been told about the man that he was, anyway, if they're Newcastle supporters it would make sense to respect someone who played a big role at the club. my guess is most would see "died" then RIP it without question or maybe a quick wiki. It's just a sign of respect to someone that has passed on. People aren't exactly going to say "Burn in hell fuckhead" are they? It's really not such a big deal that people are R.I.Ping someone they didn't know much about. it's not a sign of respect. it's a sign of wanting to appear to show respect which are seperate things. since diana there has a been a sentimentality of unreal proportions around the deaths of those we don't know. pre diana if someone had said "espanyols captain has died " the reaction would have been "shame but so?" and now we all play the concerned grievers because it looks right rather than being right. Load of shite basically. You're just being contrary for the sake of it. Anyway R.I.P Jarque (OH NOES IM AN ATTENTION WHORE JUST DYING FOR PEOPLE TO SEE HOW RESPECTFUL IM BEING LOOK AT ME BEING RESPECTFUL. OR MAYBE IM JUST SAYING R.I.P. AND IT REALLY ISNT SUCH A BIG DEAL. WHO KNOWS.)
  15. This, we're in no position to be picking and choosing our players based on their personalities. We need good players, of which he is one.

  17. With a better partner Carroll will. speculation mate. Realistically Carroll has played with better players than that useless c*** and still looked out of his depth In the Premier League. Dunno if you've noticed but we've actually been relegated.
  18. Smith tackled and did simple passes today. Pisses all over what Butt's capable of.
  19. Imo this team with a proper manager and a some more bodies would do well.
  20. Not bad all things considered. Barton and Ranger start next match and we should win. Not bad for an away match.
