He loves it here, and clearly knows what a shit hand we've been dealt this season. Personally think he gives us another season, then if we're still out of Europe or looking well off challenging for top 4-5, he leaves for the sake of his career, which is fair enough.

Yup, not to mention that at the time we signed Barnes, Gordon was still an extremely rough diamond. The way he's come on this season has been phenomenal, but I can imagine the thinking might have been Barnes getting regular starts at LW and Gordon getting minutes across both wings

Yep, definitely been a few I think we took risks on (out of necessity in some cases due to sheer lack of numbers) like Willock. It's definitely not been perfect, but the usual crowd jumping on this is beyond predictable.
