    Harvey Barnes

Don’t think there is enough PSR profit to sell him. Hes probably worth 40 mill at 28 this year. And he still has 28 mill book value left. So for 12 mill profit, he’s not worth selling. Selling Longstaff is a better option for similar profit.
  2. We were willing to pay 55 mill for JP. Is an extra 15 mill that much more for a player with a superior goal scoring record. But he would have to start with Isak.
  3. Elanga is two footed though, so he can go outside or inside.
  4. It also means that we cant compete with the big 6 on wages and have to settle for the best of the rest players after the Big 6 have had their pickings.
  5. It will allow us to bring in a replacement that can actually compete with Bruno, Tonali and Joelinton for a starting place. We desperately need that especially with rotating the squad next season. I would sell Willock for 25-30 mill also and bring in two centre mids.
  6. Think they would want at least 50-60 now. They paid 35 so that’s his book value to them.
  7. How about Kubo or that Yeremy Pino?

    Bring Ayoze home!

Who do we realistically sign now as an alternative to Isak?
  10. Football is a squad game and he would get plenty of games as a 4th choice for a champions league side. Especially for us as a homegrown player.
  11. The issue won’t be the salary. By extending his contract by a further 3 years we can amortise his transfer fee for another 6 years. There’s currently 31.5 mill remaining or 10.5mill a year. So if he extends for a further 3 years, that fee will be amoritsed to 5.25 mill. So we can offer him an extra 5.25 mill pounds a year or 100,000 pounds a week without negatively affecting our PSR position. However, he will want an out if a mega club comes in for him. So the negotiation will be on the release clause value. He has 3 years left on his contract, so Newcastle hold the leverage. It makes sense for him to back himself to continue to score goals, keep his value high, sign a new deal with a release clause of say 160 mill in the event Newcastle don’t qualify for champions league, that’s still attractive to mega clubs. But Newcastle don’t lose out.

    Marc Guehi

He wants to be a starter though and he has more chance of that at NUFC than LFC.
  13. Sell Willock and sign Rasmey?
  14. you can see he has the capability to score though. It’s not beyond him. We have to get him back in the next couple of seasons. He would love to come back as well.
  15. I’ve always been impressed watching him and his goal scoring record for wolves was good last season.
  16. I would back Eddie to get the best out of him, but his drop off has been huge.
  17. I got laughed at for saying he’s someone we shouldn’t be selling along with Hall, Tino, Tonali, Bruno, Isak, Joelinton, Botman etc.
  18. Probably 18-20 mill pounds a year.

They did win the FA cup. Not sure they would have won without Guehi.
  20. I think being players that have featured for long-term successful clubs like Liverpool also immediately inflates the price, even if the player isnt that great. Its like they get 10-20 mill more just for featuring for a top 6 side.
  21. I would be surprised if Forest sustain last seasons form. It will be the usual cartel 6 battling for 5 spots, with us and Villa trying to overcome the odds. Ultimately I think we will be well ahead of Villa in 5 years and revenue will be close to spurs.
  22. Rondon and Kenedy playing up front. What year is this?
