It seems we have to sell to buy. What would you be willing to sell each of our players for? Pope - 30 mill Dubravka - 5 mill Trippier - 25 mill Schar - 20 mill Botman - 80 mill Livramento - 60 mill Lascelles - 15 mill Burn - 15 mill Targett - 10 mill Krafth - 5 mill Dummett - Free Manquillo - Free Hall - loan Longstaff - 30 mill Miley - 60 mill Joelinton - 50 mill Bruno - 100 mill Willock - 40 mill Almiron - 20 mill Tonali - 40 mill Anderson - 30 mill Ritchie - Free Gordon - 70 mill Murphy - 15 mill Barnes - 30 mill Isak - 100 mill Wilson - 20 mill ————————— Total Value - 870 mill I’d be looking to sell Almiron, Wilson, Targett, Longstaff and Krafth. Dont renew Ritchie or Dummett. Bring in 85 mill pounds. Save 500k a week in wages. Sign a developing CB to backup Schar (30 mill) A starting RW (50 mill) A forward to replace Wilson (50 mill) Get Minteh back. A central midfielder that can receive the ball deep to beat the press. (50 mill) —————————————————- cost - 180 mill @ 36 mill per year.

Accounting for what the wages would cost over the 5 years of a contract. It totals to 30mill.

If you sold a player for 100 million pounds, for example Bruno. We paid 35 million for him and hes been here 2.5 years in Summer. So we still have to account for 17.5 million towards FFP. So 100-17.5 = 82.5 million of direct funds towards FFP. Plus 160,000 pounds per week for 4 more years. So another 33.3 mill over the remainder of his contract. So you have 124 mill to spend on transfer fees and wages for new players, over a total of 5 years. Obviously you can spend more if you expect revenues to further increase. Any player of Isak, Botman, Tonali ilk will want 120000 per year. That's 30 mill on wages for a player. So for 2 players, thats leaving 64 mill for transfer fees (32 mill each). It doesnt always go a long way. If you expect revenue to increase say 10 mill per year, you can increase those transfer fees by another 50 mill. Hopefully this makes sense.

Will you be in the elite tier like us?
-
I suppose it will be 3-5 years down the track when those outer squad roles are filled by talented academy youngsters like at City and Liverpool. Our youth arent good enough currently, hence we are overpaying old pro's like Ritchie, Dummett, Manquillo, Krafth etc.
-
Just sign Adam Armstrong, Freddie Woodman and Andy Carroll.
-
Coloccini was class for three seasons.
-
26 year old English midfielder, UCL experience .. 30 mill.
-
Will slot in nicely for Son while hes at the Asian Cup.
-
Its frustrating some of the value for money signings other clubs like West Ham, Fulham and Aston Villa have made in foreign markets and we haven't capitalised.
-
I would be looking to sell Wilson for 20 mill in the Summer. Yes hell be 32, but he guarantees goals when hes fit. All teams outside the Top 8 would be keen to have him.

A new stadium, paid for by the Saudi's would be the best way to boost commercial income. An extra 20,000 seats and corporate/hospitality boxes. This could earn an extra 100 million pounds a year in profits.

We are unable to judge just how good Ashworth is at the moment. From a scouting/recruitment point of view all of our best transfers; Bruno, Botman and Isak were sorted before he arrived. His two main transfer windows have been underwhelming. Livramento and Gordon being the only good signings. Jury is out on Hall, Tonali and Barnes. If he is setting the recruitment strategy, we have clearly missed out on some excellent signings at other clubs ie. Paulinha, Kudus, Paqueta, Diaby, Boubacar Kamara, Jao Pedro, Maddinson, van de Ven …. The medical department is a shambles with our treatment of injured players and injury list in general. It isnt clear right now whether Ashworth is a success or not, we won’t know for 5 years or so.

I think we need to look at selling/releasing Longstaff, Wilson, Almiron, Lascelles, Targett. Wilson is the big fish, but if we need to sell another it has to be Joelinton. Love the big man, but he’s technically limited and 50 mill would go along way to beefing up the squad.
-
Maybe a GK on loan or free and a midfielder on loan. That would be it.
-
His wages are something like 350k a week. Our top earner is Bruno who is on half of that.
-
Paulinha, Olise and Gibbs-White please.
-
Our priorities have to be a Number 6, a GK, Striker and a RW
-
He did well in season 21/22 there, where he was partnered with Schar and had Targett at left back. Agree that since then he has mostly look out of sorts playing there. Brighton away this season springs to mind?
-
No just the shittest in current form.
-
The concerning thing for me is that Forest should have probably scored 2 or 3. While we only carved out a penalty.
-
The game was against Milan. We could have been watching Bennacer, Hernandez, Leao or Tomori.

Dubravka Trippier Schar Botman Livramento Miley Bruno Joelinton Gordon Wilson Isak

Howe has earned the patience of the fans and the owners. People forget quickly how fabulous he has been for the club after a few below average away performances. This is a man who saved us from certain relegation, who transformed players of next no value (Longstaff, Schar, Almiron, Joelinton, Murphy, Krafth, Lascelles) into dependable Premier League and Champions League players, he has lead us to our first cup final in 20 + years and qualified us for the Champions League for the first time in 20 years. We are 7th in the table. We have beaten Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Aston Villa and PSG all at home this season. These players and the manager have never experienced the fixture congestion and injuries we have seen this season. We are only 2 years into our journey with new owners. Our squad is nowhere near the finished article and we are going to lose matches. Howe has more than enough credit in the bank. If we are losing games with a full squad and a full week inbetween games, then I can understand pressure building. But not yet!

I think its a combination of things. Our game is based on physical fitness, pressing, pace and intensity. Due to the volume of game and injuries, our players are tired and carrying niggles and the game plan doesn't hold up when they cant be at 100% physically. We need a plan B where we keep possession and limit energy usage. But to do this we need some more technical players.
