  1. Interesting comments from harper if anyone listened to total sport. Said before the start of last season pardew wanted them averaging the same amount as passes as top four(around 550 I think?) but found it hard to implement with the squad changing so much with Europe. Seem to be seeing what he wanted to do last season, this season.
  2. I honestly think Owen just panicked and didnt know what else to say and that was the first thing that came out. He'd mentioned plenty times before that how we had control of the game so it made literally no sense.

What's he done to them recently? Anything of note? ploughed money into them and backed each manager....the b******. He really shouldn't be reffing them then. f*** you

  6. Thought he had a poor 35-40 minutes, but grew into the game. Great bit of tracking back near the end when they countered.

Get beat next week and they're done.
  8. He's gone some way to healing some old wounds today.
  9. Was very good. Great to see him back.

The west ham game will be huge for them. Lose that and they'll be just about done (assuming they don't beat spurs)

Was looking at the last three years of tables today, I think just about every team that's went down in the last three years had more points than the mackems at this stage. Apart from qpr who had six. They spent a shit load and still went down.
  12. At times Swansea football was absolutley lush, stuff we could never play. One touch passes, constant movement, getting to the byline inside the box. Its night and day from the stuff we play. At times aye its a bit boring aye when they knock it round the back, but they're happy to just take their time. Sure, they have their moments, but it's all too boring for me. At least they a style, a philosophy. I'll give them that. I wish we were that boring

But, aye, some of their football - especially on the break, in the second half - was really excellent. I just think we're reliant on being a more of a physical side. It wasnt a criticism like, just an observation. Just find people saying Swansea are boring pretty strange.

  16. What Sissoko was thinking i'll never know. Not sure if he just didnt get his head up or not, but what a dreadful decision that was.
  17. Probably because Swansea were over running tiote and cabaye and we needed more numbers, not that it worked
  18. He's a smiliar height to Cabaye so he isn't that size at at all. Oh, and Gouffran. 6ft according to Wiki.

  20. Spurs. It hasn't happened in the last 2 games that I can remember, but it still happens too much. I do really like Santon but there's a lot of improving to do. it happened more than once V spurs in the second half. not so much the man outside getting by him with the ball, more the ball being played inside him to an oncoming player. he seemed a bit flat footed when it was happening. I wanted colo brought on at the time, let santon push on to the player and an extra body in there would squeeze the space the ball was getting played through. He was pretty poor as Spurs but looks to be growing in confidence like the rest of the team. Could do with being a little more agressive I think.
  21. I wouldnt want him anywhere near this team. Neither would anyone at Newcastle thankfully.
