Newcastle United vs Cardiff City (FA Cup R3) - Sat 4th Jan @ 3pm (not on TV)

You'd start Mr. 0 goals in 2013 ahead of Mr. 10 goals in 2013? What? People are fucking nuts man -
I imagine Colo leaving and possibly Taylor will be in mind.
-
I have no idea anymore, aren't we all a bit like that now Aye, I've lost check of reality. I'm sure Ronaldo has this guy sussed though.
-
Oh hang on, wasnt this guy ousted as a WUM?

Yeah well it's we fickle fans who create all the hype and expectations and double standards. I like Ben Arfa but he's a surplus to our requirements when we already have Sissoko and Gouffran and I don't see who we could drop from the team to accomodate him. Shola was playing well when we were on our winning streak and does offer us something different upfront. So it's either between Gouffran on the left or Sissoko on the right who have delivered in terms of goals and assists. You must have missed the game yesterday when Gouff got himself in two great positions but couldnt produce the end product. I like Gouff a lot but to say HBA is surplus because of him is ridiculous. We badly lack creativity, Pardew must find a way to get him in the team.

Niel would be handy right now.
-
Difference between hba and every other player is that hba isn't allowed to put in average performances . Unacceptable to some.

Bet fugazi has headed off for this already. -
As usual Sewelly is bang on the money. Or being a massive drama queen on the back of an innocuous comment from the manager. Highly doubt 'anybody' could take us to 33 points before the end if the year. Very reasonable return and most enjoyable. Crack on. Love these sensible posts.

We've played decent attacking football on plenty of occasions this season. ok

Go on then, list the clubs in the Premiership who are bigger. When I say financial, no point having loads of money if the owner is not willing to invest to match fans ambition. Ashley's lack of ambition for the club is what hurts us most I'd imagine everyone above us apart from Everton are better off.
-
Jesus. Did everyone think we were a massive club before pardew strolled in like? Baffled as to where you got "Everyone thought we were a massive club" from "Pardew's 'we're a tiny club' spiel is obviously rubbing off" mind. It was your comment about pardews spiel rubbing off. No ones suggesting we are a tiny club. All I'm saying is we are doing well with what we've got. We can't compete with those above us, so I'm unsure exactly what pardew has said wrong? Pardew keeps on playing the club down, both the quality of it's playing staff and it's spending power. And people are obviously falling for his s*** when they agree that we are "overachieving" Make no mistake, I'm happy with the job Pardew is doing at the minute and I hope he continues to get the performances out of our players that he has been this season. It just saddens me that people view this as us overachieving. Overachieving would be us capitalising on some poor form from Man U and Tottenham and breaking the top 4, something which I fully believe would be possible under a different manager. As it happens this may happen, only it'll likely be Everton and not us. I don't think we are overachieving but I do think the league table portrays exactly where we are as a club right now.

We are competing with them

That's avoiding the question, where do you think we currently are size wise compared to the other clubs? I didn't, I said this is as good as its gets. We are potentially a mammoth club with the right owners. Right now, we are a just an average sized club with a great support. Not sure what else I can add.
-
Potentially bimpy, not right now.
-
What is a club of our size? Where do you think we sit in the Premiership on size? I'm interested in where you think we should be. With this owner? This is as good as it gets. Maybe a good cup run. With a man city style owner, as big as anyone.
-
His comments were "for a club of our size and financial ability to have 36 points before January" and that's bullshit. How? Because we're not a small club, and the financial thing is soley down to the f***ing jumble sale merchant who owns us, maybe ? Or maybe not, more down to the self fulfilling prophecy that is the champions league and the rich getting richer etc etc It's a good season so far, credit to the manager and players, why can't some just enjoy it. f*** me we dealt with Arsenal very well and were worthy of at least a point, years gone by they've annihilated us. We are enjoying it, unlike some today i thought we played ok, it's just i'm not one for liking our manager saying we are a small club, that ok ? But he didn't He said a club of our size. Surely we know why aren't an arsenal, man united or man city? As you said, it's how you interpret it, i saw it as him saying we are a small club. Maybe he could have said 'lets win for Mike' again, maybe that'll make you happy, i dont know. Constant talk from him doing us down and some still think it's a resonable thing to say and do..........Ashley has done a good job on you, fair play. People can think for themselves. As thing stand we aren't a 'big club' and haven't been for a long time. Pardew is right saying without resources we are doing very well. You should stop taking things so personally. Maybe one day the potential will be fulfilled, right now, this is what we are.

I have no doubt they would be delighted, what I will doubt is that they'll be inferring that they're not worthy of being in that position. Sounds to me like he's just pleased with our position considering the clubs we are mixing with. Interpret it how you like I guess.
