Like Mole says, I'm suprised anyone takes a blind bit of notice what he says. Water off a ducks arse. -
But you know you'll never hear that. We should all know that by now.

Probably draw or lose. -
Hatem couldn't control the ball that day, man. Barely looked like a footballer. It's absurd to blame that on being "crowded out". Pardew is to blame for a lot of things in recent times but that wasnt one of them. He was just dreadful.

Man City, West Ham, Fulham, Villa, Hull Those are the games he played before Pardew started to move him around. What are the decent number of games out of those where he was a liability? He was arguably our best player out of four of those 5 (not difficult vs Man City but still) and certainly won us both games against Villa and Fulham. He had one bad game in his preferred position against Hull where he provided little and cost us a goal. Since then he's been moved to the left (where he doesn't play well ever basically) and then up front by himself. So you could say he was a liability in one game out of five before he started getting moved around. As I said against a team where the primary goal is to close down fast and hit on the break its a fair decision to leave him out at the moment (though their's no way in hell bringing Obertan on ahead of him was ever a good idea either against Chelsea or even worse against Spurs). But against a side that'll sit back and challenge us to break them down we need him in the team and in his preferred position. A position where he's won us games basically on his own in the past, against teams that were just sitting back and challenging us to break them down. Thats garbage TCD. As rightly pointed out, he had a bad game against Hull where he'd been clearly earmarked as our danger man, and was marked out of the game. Unfortunately our genius of a manager couldn't exploit this. He was unreal against Villa, won us the game at Fulham. I'm HBA biggest fan but there was something up with him that day against Hull mind. I think its the worst I've seen him play for us. How you go from the performance against Villa to the one against Hull is beyond me. But, apart from that and maybe Everton, he's been fine.

Its TCD - you'll get used to him.

I know you could argue that he didn't need it; but donating the entirety of his £3.5m salary to charity? Awesome generosity, that. As good as that is it's really just another incredibly rich person donating to charity. There's normal people that work all week and don't earn a great deal, but still either find time to volunteer, or find some spare money to donate, which is more impressive to me. Can we not just say, 'aye quality that becks'. Do we always have to fucking pick at things?

There's getting carried away and then theres this.

Hba wasn't coming on in a million years while it was one nil. We will see him in the next two.
-
Fucking hell is it going to be another week of people debating if we should have won or not. Just enjoy it. We've just eat spurs and Chelsea and kept two clean sheets. We are effectively champions league certainties.

Listen man, if a player leaves the club, YOUR club, the club you love, the club you put time and money into all year every year, simply because someone else is offering him more cash you cant just expect fans to think nothing of it. The whole 'well if i got offered more money in a new job i'd take it' argument is a total irrelevance due to the difference in World normal people and footballers live in. Rightly or wrongly people will feel aggrieved because ultimately fans want the players to want to play for the club for us, not for money. That's probably the sentimental side of it. In the real world, none of our players (except Shola and Taylor maybe) wouldn't even play for us if we hadn't offered them a better deal than they were on at their previous club. Why do you think players like Anita, Debuchy and Cabaye are even here, whilst they could have continued to represent the club that brought them through and that the probably have genuine feelings for? In the same vein, why do you expect these mercenaries who left their clubs for us, to decline better offers when they are available, to stay at a club like ours, without ambition to even compete and unwilling to pay the going rate. We are a stepping stone of a club, lucky to be in (one of) the most prestigious football leagues in the world, and that's exactly how our owner wants it. Blame him, not the players who are being traded in this system, not only to better their own career, but also to further our (owner's) interests. Specifically looking at the Demba Ba case, he came in for free, left for 7.5 million, probably earned less than that in wages in his time here and scored a shitload. How anybody could brand him a mercenary who only looked after his own interest is quite frankly staggering. What does that make our club? I'm not blaming anyone. I'm not really bothered. I'm just pointing out some of the reasons why people may be upset. With Ba specifically, I thought it was the attitude of him and his entourage that left a bitter taste in the mouth. Getting 'his big move' . But thats just me.

I'm sorry but that's a massive load of shite.

Well depends what you class as an error I suppose. Getting the ball in 30 yards of space and launching it upfield without taking a moment to compose youself is an error. Off the top of my head, Cardiff he made an error that lead to a goal. But like I say, I'm not getting on his back, he's doing well. He does a job as a squad player. He'll more than likely play more than Taylor too due to Taylor's glass shell.
-
It's not just what Williamson has, it's what Taylor doesn't. Rightly or wrongly, I've got it into my head that Taylor makes basic errors (usually in picking up players or being too gung ho) and then blames others. You also have to take injuries into account. Say Taylor has had a run of games and we have an important game, I'd play him. Say Taylor is coming straight back from injury and is fit for an important game as his first game back, I'd go with Williamson. I honestly would. Williamson also makes basic errors and is dreadful on the ball. That being said, he's in good form at the moment and even though I wouldnt want to see him in there long term, well played to the lad. I thought he was done here. Seems like a decent honest enough bloke too.

Official: Yoan Gouffran signs new contract with Goztepe

Wasnt it him and the other lad (redmond?) have only had 6 shots are target between them this season? (or maybe last 6 games). Something like that.,
