The press are carrying stories today about Gazza maybe getting a chance to have a role at the club at youth development level at some point. No joking, if we get Pardew out today, I'd happily give Gazza the managers role. He honestly, honestly couldn't do any worse than this clown we seem to be stuck with. :)

Wait for it.... wait for it.....

Didn't Jol reject the job in the past or did i imagine that? I think he left Ajax right when we sacked CH so it was assumed we were after him but of course that was never the plan.

I question his ability to consistently put in good performances. If he was a "very good player" he wouldn't have consistency issues. To me, very good players are those who you can bank on to play well the majority of the time. Marveaux definitely hasn't done that for NUFC yet. I can see how this is going to go. Agree to disagree.

Benfica fans seem to be very confident....

eh? I don't think Sylvain Marveaux is a "Very good player". I was asking who Marveaux was being rated against to call him a "Very good player". Well you dont need rate him by comparing him to others, you rate him based on his ability as a footballer. If you dont think he's a good footballer then fair enough, but I think we've seen enough from him to suggest otherwise. Consistency and playing in his prefered position seem to have been his biggest problems. Marveaux has not been a "very good player" for NUFC yet. He has some nice skills but equally he can disappear in games. I'd want a lot more good performances from him before I started calling him a very good player. Exactly. I wouldn't say Obertan was a good player. I wouldn't even call him an average player (compared to Premier League players). Comparing Marveaux to Obertan is like comparing Marveaux with Bale. As I say, consistency has been his problem. He probably hasnt had the 10-20 games in a row that he needs. He's not a wide man either. You cant possibly question his ability though surely? As it stands, I actually think he's had an ok season. He's also popped up with a couple of winning assists in the last three games.

The more I think about it, the crazier it seems.

Aye it was my first thoughts, won't be easy at all. People were saying this about O'Neill a couple of days ago. Their lack of bottle is something deeply engrained in the club. It will take more than some lower league mentalist to sort that out I'm sure. You only have to look at Catts fer me lyk to see being fired up means f*** all in these games. Aye I dont get this at all. What qualities does he have that will inspire them to a great derby performance? A bit of shouting in the dressing room? I'm not sure how the players will be able to take him serious in all honesty

Fucking bonkers appointment. No experience, in the middle of a relegation fight, absolute mental head. Crazy choice.

Thank fuck we've got two home games. We can get out of it with the two games. If we aren't out of it after the Mackem game then it will be twitchy bum time.

More nervous about the Wigan Norwich game than this. If Norwich can get any sort of result it will be huge for us. -
I was thinking the exact same thing. Fucking ludicrous statement by jh

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

There's no way Cabaye goes back to France. He'll be our skipper next year for sure. -

People would be crying in to their pies if those flares went off man. Wah wah wah it smells, sit down etc. Ah aye, I was joking of course. The guy behind me asked me to sit down once because I was 'getting to excited'

The most worrying thing for me is that in the immediate future, its likely it'll be back to 3 points. We've got City away and Wigan have Norwich at home. You'd expect City and Wigan wins (of course you never know). Then its the two two home games against Fulham and the Mackems. I cant see us losing both, if we take 4 points out of those two it should be enough to carry us to the end of the season. Still has potential to be very nervy though. Need to get players back fit again too.
