Why,it's not as if they can go back on the deal? http://www.investopedia.com/articles/03/082703.asp Pretty crap just getting £6m every six months. If we sell Sissoko now, we should be looking at a top class player either in January or next summer. The 12-18m we will have received probably won't be enough for that The club will be able to spend safe in the knowledge they'll be receiving cash from everton?

It would be gaurenteed cash?
-
You dont have a source ffs.

Yup, sure sounds like $35M to me . I mean, he's good at what he does He's very effective when he can be arsed. It's just been very often. For 30million or whatever he should probably learn to strike a ball mind. Aye like just saying he has pace and power and f*** all else doesn't really do him justice when he's basically impossible to stop when you give him space to run into Yeah exactly, he's great at getting out of tight spaces and spinning his man too. Like I say, needs to be a hell of lot more consistent for whoever he ends up playing for.

Eh, based on what? Am I missing something with Armstrong?

The bloke can't jump mind, absolutely useless. Hes a runner, perfect for counter attacking football. Pace and power. Can't shoot, poor technically.

I thought you had more faith in Rafa than Bobby etc? I have complete faith in Rafa, but I cannot be the only one looking at what is basically a whole new XI brought in and feel underwhelmed? I'd rather bring in 2 or 3 special players to destroy the league than a whole new team of average players or unknowns because I feel that will get you out of the division not squad depth and having a player for each position. Time will tell, I hope I'm wrong of course! We've lost 16 players. We couldn't just bring in two or three. I don't have any issue with the signings as we're buying realistic targets as a championship side. The squad will clearly be updated with premier league quality if we get promoted. Not sure who some people were expecting us to sign really. I'm actually very happy with most of our signings, they might not be dead exciting, but for once we are building a proper squad with plenty of options in every position. Same here, feels good knowing if someone doesn't perform someone else can step in. -

Aye, absolutely ridiculous statement. We've lost 16 players this summer, he needed to build a squad. -

Can we at least give the kid a chance and not write him off before he's kicked a ball. Would have thought lessons would have been learnt from Townsend. -
24million, bargain.
-
And we have no idea if we are any good / how decent the signings are. Will certainly be interesting if nothing else. Do we not?

At least he had ability, certainly in the championship. No this s*** about Barton in the Championship again, surely? Beat me to it. He performed better that season than McManaman ever had in his career, or certainly had a more positive influence on us being promoted. So we are fine with c***s then, Just as long as they're above average? Let's be honest, if we were signing a quality player, not many people would be concerned about anything else. The fact that the tackle was on one of our players, coupled with the fact that he is a terrible footballer makes people against the potential signing. Is he terrible? How many times you watched him? Always remember him looking dangerous before he went to West brom. I've seen him a few times, maybe not enough to form a whole opinion on him, but on the times I've seen him he has done nothing to impact a game. His career stats tell a story themselves. Again I think we could do a lot better, and coupled with his history with us, I think it would be a bad signing.mfmhe had obvious ability then there would be a strong reason for overlooking that tackle. I remember a fair few on here saying similar about Townsend as well. -

Always thought he looked quite handy at Wigan. Not seen much of him at west brom mind.
