This isn't me being a dick, but would people have said this (not you) before he signed for us? I read some horrific posts about him when be first joined. He wasn't in form before he signed for us though, he hadn't played for over six months. I wasn't particularly a fan of signing Townsend, and he looked bang average at first, but he was really excellent for the last few games, and improving every game to the point where he was absolutely fantastic against Spurs (i.e. most of the England team). It's a cliche but England managers rarely take form into account when it's exactly what you need going into a tournament. It's six or seven games and you need the players who are most impressive at the time. It's like the play-offs - never just back the team who finished highest, back the team that's in form. But at the same time you don't judge others This isn't me being a dick, but would people have said this (not you) before he signed for us? I read some horrific posts about him when be first joined. Bought one today, gave it up after failing to replace cabaye, but can't resist Rafa.

I'm looking at the minute, lower gollowgate looks just about sold out, haven't checked top, there's some left at the ends of the east stand, bar 1892 nearly sold out.

Has it even crossed your mind you may not come straight back up? It seems a bizarre stance to take. I mean to think there isn't even a slim chance of not coming back up? If it were me and we got Benitez in the Championship I'd be absolutely delighted, but I'm confident I wouldn't be absolutely certain we'd come straight back up. At least it's brought my Mag mates on Facebook out of their shells, they've been quiet for a few days. It's going to be an interesting season either way. Where have I mentioned we are guaranteed to come back up?

The mackems will be absolutely gutted with how happy we are. They sent us down, they stayed up, we should be crying into our broon ale. But we arent, we're fucking delighted. It will be killing them.

Pffft, just lob it out man, she'll love it.

He was bang on when he said Pep definitely wouldn't be joining your lot.

11 goals from a midfielder is pretty good like. If he was hiding, how was he getting on the end of those chances? I think it's more a case of him not really relishing the dogfight nature of English football. But the way Rafa sets the team up he wouldn't necessarily need to do as much of that. He scored 8 of his goals in 3 games.

You can't get a season ticket yet so you'll waste your time. Wouldn't be surprised if they put them on sale as soon as he's confirmed as manager. They'd be daft not to. I'm getting one if he stays.

There was a West Ham fan on TalkSport yesterday praising Allardyce for his work there. I'm sure you'll find many more saying the opposite mind
-
Radio Newcastle were talking about it this morning, they all seemed rather embarrassed.
-
Championship with Rafa > premiership with fat heed.
-
Interesting him saying he was in talks with a Premier League club and then Real Madrid came along and snatched him. I wonder what club he was in talks with and hope they don't come try for a second time. West Ham wasn't it?

Bt, red button

maybe being told what they can/can't ask Maybe he's just finishing his dinner.

Yep, definitely the equivalent of a rapist.

The one thing you need in the Championship is a little bit of quality, the standard's generally crap. Our current squad of bottlers would walk it. I think if you look at the teams we put out in promotion season - especially the first half of it -you'll agree that we basically had a team (with exceptions) of grafters with hints of quality. In attack, especially, you won't get anywhere unless the quality is compounded with experience and a pair of bollocks. It's not like the Premier League. Defenders in the football league will f***ing eat Mitrovic alive, for example. yep totally agree the people who say Mitrovic will be a beast in the championship need to give their head a shake. The clogger centre half will eat him up for breakfast look at the championships top strikers recently Deeney, ings,Vokes,Rhodes,Austin,Vardy, Wilson,Oghalo, Gray all of these absolutely streets ahead of mitrovic he will struggle like f*** in the division imo need to get rid of him asap I don't agree at all, I think hed be quality. what brings you to this conclusion? How promising he has been this season or his skilful attributes the guy has f*** all to be positive about him. not many would be confident in him getting 20 plus goals as thats what he will need to get in the championship for us to stand a chance He's had plenty of good games this season and has proved a handful. He'll hopefully be playing under a better manager, better team and against weaker opposition. Can easily see him getting 15+ next year.

Probably because people are pretty certain Ashley is going nowhere so they just want to try and enjoy a Newcastle team managed by a great manager I guess.

No wonder people hate us.

You'd think he was trolling if you hadn't listened to him before.
